Woke Late-Night on Notice: ‘Gutfeld!’ Earns Second Biggest Viewership in Show’s History

This Fox anchor is dominating the competition.

Greg Gutfeld not only dominates his late-night competitors, but also continues to grow his following.

Forbes reports that 2.494 million viewers tuned in to Gutfeld! on Tuesday night.

According to Forbes, this is the second-largest audience for an episode of Gutfeld in the history of the show.

Gutfeld is also the most popular among viewers between the ages of 25 and 54. Tuesday had 396,000 viewers that fell into this group.

This audience is highly valued by advertisers as a prospective market for their products and services.

The late-night host has established himself as the ratings king of late-night television, while his competitors on traditional media outlets have failed to connect with a large audience.

Gutfeld frequently dominates his opponents on broadcast television, as opposed to cable television.

Despite running on a cable news network, Gutfeld’s program outperformed those of ABC, NBC, and CBS during a week in August.

Due to its airing in many more American households, broadcast programs have an inherent ratings edge over cable. Even still, such candidates as Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel were unable to defeat Gutfeld.

Forbes reports that Gutfeld continues to dominate his broadcast competitors, with his Tuesday program once again outperforming them in the ratings.

Gutfeld is notorious for targeting the political left with irreverent comedy, highlighting the hypocrisy of the party that controls the White House and both houses of Congress.

“Part of the reason for that is the audience has really connected with some of the new guests we’ve introduced them to, but also they’ve gotten to see some FNC stars let their hair down for an hour,” O’Connor said of Gutfeld’s format. CONTINUE READING…
