Although it was reported on July 27 that President Joe Biden had recovered from COVID-19, the president’s physician Kevin O’Connor said on Wednesday morning that Biden had tested positive for the virus once again.
Since the White House disclosed Biden’s “return” illness on Saturday, Biden has tested positive for the virus five days in a row.
O’Connor stated in a memo dated Wednesday that Biden is “still coughing sometimes, but less often than yesterday.”
“He has no temperature and is in high spirits. O’Connor notes that his temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation are all normal. “His lungs remain clear.”
“Given his positive comeback, which we announced on Saturday, we proceeded to follow him everyday. His SARS-CoV-2 antigen tests remained positive this morning,” the doctor stated.
Biden will “continue to do the business of the American people from the Executive Residence,” according to the doctor’s note.

Despite the illness, Biden was able to complete a “small workout” this morning, according to the doctor.
In the meanwhile, Biden will observe quarantine and “strict isolation” in the White House.
Today’s positive COVID test represents the sixth straight day that the president has tested positive, according to The Hill.
O’Connor referred to this as a “rebound” infection.
