Trump’s Legal Team Adds DeSantis Ally with Enough Wins that the Left Should be Worried

    Published on

The former president is collaborating with an ally of Gov. Ron DeSantis to take on the criminal case that emerged from the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago, so the bureau better keep an eye on them.

President Joe Biden, the White House, the Department of Justice, the National Archives, and the FBI coordinated for months before the FBI decided to raid Donald Trump’s South Florida home to search for unlawfully stored sensitive materials.

A former Florida solicitor general who worked under DeSantis has joined Trump’s legal team in light of the DOJ’s ongoing inquiry into his possession of the records, which the former president claims were all declassified under a standing order.

According to two sources cited by NBC News, Chris Kise, a former solicitor general, has a formal representation agreement with Trump.

Numerous lawyers have reportedly turned down working with Trump due to the expected “political blowback,” according to sources who spoke to NBC News.

Of course, culture warriors like DeSantis and others in his inner circle don’t mind dealing with smear campaigns from the mainstream media.

It’s possible that Kise’s company is or was terrified of dealing with such fallout.

NBC News reports that the company has taken Kise’s name off of its roster of attorneys, indicating that the former Florida solicitor general may have quit his business in order to work for Trump.

Kise’s decision to do so says volumes, especially in light of his distinguished career.

According to NBC News, he has prevailed in multiple Florida Supreme Court decisions as well as four cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Kise’s contemporaries undoubtedly think highly of him for his work.

According to The Wall Street Journal, former Southern District of Florida U.S. Attorney Bob Martinez undoubtedly stated as much.

“He’s a very serious lawyer and knows his way around government and the political world,” Martinez said. CONTINUE READING…
