Trump Wins! It’s His Party Now

    Published on

During Donald Trump’s presidency, Democrats used impeachment as a tool. In the lower house, they twice falsely impeached Trump.

Ten Republican traitors joined communist Democrats in the second impeachment vote, betraying Trump and the American people.

The majority of those ten are currently learning the cost of defying the proponents of America First.

Four of the 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump following the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 chose to resign rather than face certain defeat in a reelection campaign. Reps. Anthony Gonzalez (R-Ohio), Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), Fred Upton (R-Mich.), and John Katko make up this group (R-N.Y.).

Representative Tom Rice (R-S.C.), who supported Trump’s impeachment, lost the Republican primary to Russell Fry in June. Fry, a supporter of Trump, claimed that Rice “broke the trust” of his voters.

According to a Yahoo article critical of Trump, “Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.), a moderate, was ousted last week by Joe Kent, a Trump-endorsed candidate. Herrera Beutler revealed early in 2021 that McCarthy had told her about his phone call with Trump on Jan. 6, during which McCarthy assured Trump that it was his own supporters ransacking the Capitol and not antifa.

“That’s when, according to McCarthy, the president said: ‘Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are,’” according to a statement made by Herrera Beutler in February 2021.

Eight of the ten House Republicans who supported Trump’s second impeachment will not be returning to Congress as a result of Liz Cheney losing her Republican congressional primary on Tuesday.

As he mulls a second presidential bid in 2024, their exits—whether the result of voter pressure or retirement—indicate that Trump has maintained and strengthened his influence over the Republican Party.

In other words, Trump now controls the party. And he’s enjoying himself after winning.

According to The Washington Examiner, Trump is enjoying himself a little after victory.

The Examiner said that “Former President Donald Trump delivered spoof endorsements of New York Democrats in a tongue-in-cheek series of posts Wednesday evening for his political rivals in his longtime home state.”

Trump said he supports Rep. Carolyn Maloney and congressional candidate Dan Goldman in the state’s August primary while taking a break from his more serious slate of GOP nominations for the 2022 midterm elections. He also praised Rep. Jerry Nadler, who is running for the same seat as Maloney.

“While it was my honor to beat him, and beat him badly, Dan Goldman has a wonderful future ahead,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The Examiner notes that “Goldman was the House Democrats’ lead counsel during the first impeachment of Trump.”

“She is a kind and wonderful person, who has always said terrific things about me, and will support me no matter what I do, just as I supported her very early on,” Trump said of Maloney, the chairwoman of the Oversight Committee looking into disappearing Secret Service texts around January 6.

Nadler, who also contributed significantly to the initial impeachment of the former president, was mentioned favorably by Trump even though he did not support him.

“Jerry Nadler is likewise a hard driving man of the people, whose energy and attention to detail is unlike anyone else in Congress. He is high energy, sharp, quick-witted, and bright. You can’t go wrong with either, but Carolyn Maloney is the better man. She will lead our Country into a very GREEN and prosperous future. Carolyn has my Complete and Total Endorsement, she will never let our Conservative Movement down!” wrote Trump in a post.

So-called journalists at liberal media outlets are bemoaning Trump’s triumphs as he basks in them.

The Associated Press article on Trump running the Republican Party starts out, “Liz Cheney’s resounding primary defeat marks the end of an era for the Republican Party as well as her own family legacy, the most high-profile political casualty yet as the party of Lincoln transforms into the party of Trump.” CONTINUE READING…
