On his Truth Social account over the weekend, Donald Trump said the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, Kari Lake, should be “installed” as the state’s next governor. Trump made the comments as six counties got ready to reach the deadline for certifying the results of the 2022 midterm elections, which will start the process of challenging the incredibly difficult November elections.
According to media estimates, Lake and her Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs are separated by just 0.6 percent with 99.9% of the votes in Arizona having been counted.
But due to Hobbs’ position as Secretary of State, which places her in charge of Arizona’s elections, the Republican outrage, led by Lake and former President Trump, asserts that there was electoral fraud during the midterms.
Maricopa County officials in Arizona ordered that county election officials postpone certification and respond to inquiries concerning the handling of the Nov. 8 midterm elections.
The Maricopa County GOP stated in a news release on November 25 that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors should “delay certification” of its election results until those officials have “fully responded” to a letter sent by the Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward earlier this month and one from the Arizona Attorney General’s office.
Recorder Stephen Richer and Chairman Bill Gates of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors acknowledged issues with the tabulation equipment on November 8 but later attributed them to a printer fault.
Gates stated on November 8 that “People were still able to vote, it was just a matter of maybe not voting in the way they wanted to. We do not believe that anyone has been disenfranchised, because no one has been turned away.”
However, Arizona’s gubernatorial hopeful Kari Lake and others claim that voters have come forward to allege that they experienced difficulties casting ballots on Election Day. Lake then filed a lawsuit against the county last week. Lake stated in a different interview that she would bring a bigger lawsuit against the county.
“Democrat Katie Hobbs, the current secretary of state who is running against Lake, declared victory earlier this month. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, issued a statement last week that he will be working with Hobbs’s team on transferring power and recognized Hobbs as the winner,” according to NTD News, adding:
According to the Maricopa GOP, county officials need to provide “critical information that Maricopa County voters were NOT disenfranchised” on Nov. 8 and confirmed whether the vote tabulation issues on Nov. 8 had a “material impact on the results of this election.”
According to a story in The Daily Mail:
Malfunctions with voting machines in the state’s largest jurisdiction, Maricopa County, also led them to question the results, which are separated by approximately 17,000 votes.
‘Massive numbers of ‘BROKEN’ voting machines in Republican Districts on Election Day,’ Trump posted to his Truth Social account on Monday morning. ‘Mechanics sent in to ‘FIX’ them made them worse.’
‘Kari had to be taken to a Democrat area, which was working perfectly, to vote. Her opponent ran the Election. This is yet another criminal voting operation – SO OBVIOUS,’ the former president said.
The decision over whether to certify the results of the 2022 midterm elections must be made by Monday in six Arizona counties. Kari Lake is a GOP candidate for governor.
‘Kari Lake should be installed Governor of Arizona. This is almost as bad as the 2020 Presidential Election, which the Unselect Committee refuses to touch because they know it was Fraudulent!’ suggested Trump.
In a post on Truth Social, Lake said that “Arizonans have no Faith & Trust in our Elections,” to which Trump was replying.
She wrote, ‘Our Election Officials are incompetent (…or worse). They have failed us. The Fake News ignores our Fake Elections and expect us to just ‘move on.’ We won’t.’
She ended by urging swift electoral reform.

Six Arizona counties are on a Monday deadline to decide whether to certify the 2022 election results, as Republicans pressure the areas not to officially approve any vote counts.
The current results show Democrats winning both the Senate and gubernatorial races in Arizona.
Lake has refused to acknowledge her loss against Hobbs, pointing to problems with some ballot printers as well as claiming fraudulent activity. The former broadcast journalist has vehemently pushed Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. She also said before Election Day that she would only accept the results of a fair election, which she said would result in her victory. CONTINUE READING…
