As the country nears the midterm election, speculation over President Joe Biden’s intentions to compete for re-election to the White House has exploded.
Numerous individuals have discussed the problem off the record, but commenting on the record would be detrimental to the remainder of his tenure.
Even if the majority of surveys indicate that Americans do not want Joe Biden to run again, his decision not to run might result in a “lame duck” administration for the remainder of his tenure.
According to The Conversation, “Lame Ducks” are frequently unable to pass legislation.
No political party should desire a lame-duck president, as two years of ineffectiveness is too long.
Since 1968, no eligible incumbent president has declined to seek for reelection.
However, Democrats who are unhappy with the incumbent president exert pressure.
Politico claimed that a left-wing organization is organizing a public pressure campaign to stop Biden’s renomination.
“The effort, by RootsAction.org, is the latest sign of unrest among Democrats about Biden, whose job approval rating has cratered during a punishing midterm election year. RootsAction, with an email list of about 1.2 million people in the united States, said it plans to spend six figures on a ‘#DontRunJoe’ campaign, with digital ads starting in early nominating states on Nov 9, one day after the midterm elections.”
CNBC provided statistics indicating:
“According to a new survey, only 26% of Democrats want President Biden to be their party’s nominee in the 2024 election, while 64% want someone else to lead the ticket.
The New York Times/Siena College survey indicated that Democrats listed Biden’s age and job performance as the primary reasons why they preferred someone other than Biden to be the party’s nominee.

Some hold the opinion that while Biden is fine to be president now, he is too old for the upcoming election.
The Atlantic’s Mark Leibovich stated, “Let me put this bluntly: Joe Biden should not run for reelection in 2024. He is too old.” CONTINUE READING…
