This GOP Marine Got More Votes Than Any Other Republican in Arizona

    Published on

As he handily won election to the Office of Mine Inspector in the Grand Canyon State, a U.S. Marine who frequently quotes Ronald Reagan and once declared that “brass is cool” has now officially received more votes compared to any other candidate in Arizona history.

Republican State Mine Inspector Paul Marsh was elected with far more than 1,400,000 votes, despite the fact that Republicans are still having a difficult time in Arizona’s protracted, horribly faulty, and even corrupt, vote counting process.

It turns out that he received more votes than any other contender has ever received in terms of total votes.

There is no denying Marsh’s enthusiasm for the metals, ores, and gemstones that are extracted in his western territory. He tweeted last week with excitement about the discovery of an unique stone in Arizona and added that “brass is cool.”

The mine director for the state is likewise quick to praise Ronald Reagan, a Republican icon.

He cited Reagan’s well-known praise for the Marine Corps on its anniversary in November. A few days earlier, on Election Day, he cited Reagan’s caution that “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”

Marsh was first appointed by Gov. Doug Ducey to complete the unfinished term of the previous inspector in 2021. Now, after winning his own election, he will continue his job to ensure that Arizona’s mining rules are obeyed and mine work is safe and lucrative.

Of all, Marsh was such a no-brainer that the Democrats didn’t even bother to field a challenger!

However, his victory played a significant role in the campaign to turn Arizona red. Marsh was associated with at least a couple of victories in Arizona, along with a House seat that the GOP turned red, even though the other top positions in the state appear certain to go blue.

More on this story via The Western Journal:

While all the votes are not yet counted, it appears likely that Arizona will now be sending five Republicans and four Democrats to the House, whereas the last election saw the party count switched, after Republican Eli Crane took the 2nd District seat away from the Democrats this year.

Crane’s campaign website describes the former Navy SEAL as “a combat veteran, small-business owner, husband, father and native Arizonan.”

Crane’s win put the Republicans one step closer to taking the majority in the House in Washington and Marsh’s win was an important effort to keep at least some Republicans in the state’s top offices. And if one of the other GOP candidates can squeak out a win as Arizona counts, and counts, and counts, that will just be gravy. CONTINUE READING…
