The Bidens Just Lost Another Staff Member After Almost 3 Years of Service

The press secretary for first lady Jill Biden has announced his resignation from the position.

The Hill reported that Michael LaRosa acknowledged his retirement from the Office of the First Lady of the United States via email on Tuesday.

In a statement to CNN, which first reported the news, Biden complimented him.

“For over three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has served as my spokesperson and advisor, bringing encyclopedic knowledge of politics and the media to my staff,” she added.

“On a small team, commitment and friendship are forever – Michael will be much missed. However, we are happy for him to embark on a new chapter in his career,” stated the first lady.

Friday will be LaRosa’s last day at the workplace, according to The Hill.

He is moving on to work for the public affairs firm Hamilton Place Strategies. CNN said that he will serve as the company’s managing director in Washington.

“I am forever grateful to [the first lady] for taking a chance on me nearly three years ago, bringing me on this journey with her around the country, and the privilege of being a small part of the history that she and [the president] made,” LaRosa tweeted Tuesday.

La Rosa stated, “From long drives in minivans, jumping on and off planes, and ‘No Malarkey’ busses on the campaign to traveling to 10 countries, nearly 40 states, and over 75 cities in the first year and a half of the Biden-Harris Administration, I am now moving on to a new adventure,”

A White House insider told CNN that candidates are “currently being considered” for La Rosa’s replacement, the news site claimed.

According to the source, candidates are being considered for the position.

In recent months, a number of White House communications officials have resigned from their positions in the Biden administration, including LaRosa.

The government announced earlier this month that Kate Bedingfield will depart her position as White House communications director in late July after almost three years of service to President Joe Biden and his 2020 campaign.

More on this story via The Western Journal:

“Without Kate Bedingfield’s talent and tenacity, Donald Trump might still be in the White House, the Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Law might still be unrealized goals, and Ketanji Brown Jackson might not be sitting on the Supreme Court,” White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain said in a statement at the time.

“She has played a huge role in everything the President has achieved – from his second term as Vice President, through the campaign, and since coming to the White House,” Klain said.

A source told CNN that Bedingfield long considered leaving the Biden administration, only giving the official notice this month. CONTINUE READING…
