Supreme Court Justice Reveals Serious News on ID of Who Leaked ‘Roe’ Draft

    Published on

The American public was told that our government officials would uphold our institutions and serve the populace, but outside of Donald J. Trump’s presidency, it has been a very long time since they have actually done either of those things.

At this point, the American people accept that the media routinely leaks highly politicized content created by government employees in an effort to defame Trump’s political rivals and incite violence and resentment toward Conservatives.

However, it has often been stated to the public that one leak will be revealed.

The left is upset because U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan said this week that she anticipates an update on the court’s efforts to find the source of a leaked draft SCOTUS judgment to POLITICO by the end of the month.

Few people now still hold out much hope for government-funded employees, such as the majority of US Supreme Court Justices, who have worked for the government their whole lives.

However, people continue to discuss the possibility of openness and fairness. Including the controversy surrounding the leaker in the earlier summer Roe v. Wade trial.

“During a discussion at Temple Emanu-El’s Streicker Center with Judge Alison Nathan, Kagan said she suspected none of her colleagues were privy to the efforts of the leak investigation “except for the chief justice, maybe, about what the investigation has turned up, if anything,” referring to Chief Justice John Roberts,” Martin Walsh reported for Conservative Brief about the pledge to find the SCOTUS/POLITICO leaker that sparked riots and death threats against Conse.

“Judges create legitimacy problems for themselves … when they instead stray into places where it looks like they’re an extension of the political process or when they’re imposing their own personal preferences,” Kagan added.

“Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch also spoke recently about the investigation into the identity of the person or persons who leaked the ‘Roe’ preliminary draft opinion in May.

The Washington Examiner covered the story as follows:

“It’s been just over five months since a Supreme Court draft opinion signaling the overturning of Roe v. Wade leaked to the media — with no signs as to where it originated from.

The May leak of the draft opinion to Politico, which signaled the high court was poised to vote along conservative-liberal ideological lines to overturn Roe, became official when the June 24 opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was released with hardly any changes from the draft.

In the months since the leak, justices have experienced heightened security concerns at their personal homes from pro-abortion rights protesters, coupled with a very real threat made against Justice Brett Kavanaugh in June, when a 26-year-old man came to his Maryland home armed with the intent to kill the justice, according to statements he made in a 911 call.”

During a meeting with attorneys and judges on Thursday at the 10th Circuit Judicial Conference in Colorado Springs, Gorsuch shared his opinions on the leak. Walsh announced.

According to Gorsuch, “The chief justice appointed an internal committee to oversee the investigation. That committee has been busy, and we’re looking forward to their report, I hope, soon.”

The country’s top court at the time acknowledged that a “copy of a draft opinion in a pending case” was made public, but added that it did “not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case.”

The Washington Times reported that “Former law clerks at the high court from both sides of the aisle were uniformly stunned when Justice Samuel L. Alito Jr.’s draft dropped online, but they differ broadly on whether the court should identify the culprit and if the leaker needs to be punished to counter future disclosures of controversial cases.”

More on this story via The Republic Brief:

“And despite the magnitude of the breach of high court etiquette and procedure, some think the mystery may never be cracked — or at least revealed to outsiders,” the report added.

“If they haven’t identified the person by now, they aren’t going to make it public. I don’t think the public will find out,” said Carolyn Shapiro, a former clerk for retired Justice Stephen G. Breyer.

One Republican lawmaker recently speculated that the Supreme Court’s liberal-leaning justices are likely aware of who the leaker is. CONTINUE READING…
