Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, chose to reinstate former President Donald Trump’s suspended Twitter account in response to a public poll that garnered over 15 million votes in just 24 hours.
Using the Latin proverb “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” which means “the voice of the people is the voice of God,” Musk declared that the 45th president’s account would be reinstated less than 30 minutes after the poll’s official conclusion.
All of Trump’s prior tweets, which had ceased in January 2021 after he was originally suspended, were made public when his Twitter account resurfaced. Several of his previous tweets started getting fascinating comments, particularly the most current or “newest” message on his Twitter feed.
On January 8, 2021, Trump tweeted, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”
To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.

Even after a new round of retweets, that one tweet received a deluge of encouraging replies. The president returned to Twitter to the warm reception of many people, including probably some of his fans.

Just that one comment alone got more than 16,000 likes. There was a lot of interest in similar things as well.

The identical message resounded way down the list of responses to his nearly two-year-old tweet in both the short and lengthy versions, indicating that Musk made the right decision by restoring Trump’s account.
Others, however, enjoyed themselves in response to Trump’s latest tweet, with many giving Musk the credit for bringing about what appeared impossible only a few weeks earlier. Someone mocked Trump giving Musk the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a tweet.

More on this story via The Western Journal:
The question is whether the former president will use his old Twitter account. He’s said many times, and even in recent days, that should his account be reinstated, he would likely still take a pass and stay on Truth Social.
While making a remote appearance at the annual leadership meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Trump was asked if he would return to Twitter if Musk reinstated his account. According to The Times of Israel, he complimented Musk on acquiring the platform but brushed off the possibility of returning.
“I don’t see any reason for it. There are a lot of problems in Twitter, you see what’s going on,” Trump said. “They may or may not make it but the problems are terrible. The engagements are negative. And you have a lot of bots and you have a lot of fake accounts.” CONTINUE READING…
