So Far, Musk Has Made at Least 1 Twitter Employee Throw Up

    Published on

Some Twitter employees find it difficult to accept Elon Musk’s physical ownership of the business.

According to Fox News, which cited a report from the New York Times published on Friday, one engineering manager at the San Francisco corporation was forced to vomit in a garbage can when he was told to terminate several hundred coworkers.

Fox described that tale as the Times’ “big takeaway” after dedicating eight journalists and 2,598 words on how things are doing at the social media behemoth since Musk assumed leadership in late October.

According to the Times, Musk’s “goons,” as the company’s longtime employees have referred to them, had contacted the Big Tech employee.

The manager was given a list of hundreds of staff who would be receiving pink slips and then proceeded to throw up into a nearby garbage can.

Using 36 current and former Twitter employees as sources, The Times depicted the significant changes that followed Musk’s disputed takeover of the social media platform.

Following the completion of his purchase of the business, Musk announced a round of layoffs, citing Twitter’s dire financial situation.

According to the Times, the billionaire sacked half of the company’s 7,500 employees last week.

Numerous platform services apparently stopped working as a result of the firings and Musk’s internal reforms, causing upheaval within the corporation.

In order to avoid negatively affecting non-white Twitter employees “disproportionately,” the entrepreneur rejected a recommendation from long-standing Twitter executives to prejudice against white employees in the cutbacks by checking for “diversity and inclusion issues,” the Times stated.

The billionaire has taken steps to make Twitter a subscription-based site, where users who pay $8 per month will receive algorithmic benefits akin to those given to advertisers.

According to the South African-born businessman, some of Musk’s early changes appear to have attracted more users to the network, with Twitter usage at an all-time high.

Twitter pioneered the mass censorship of the internet under its previous ownership, establishing a standard in which conservatives and other critics of the left were purged from the digital public square with impunity.

It’s not lost on many that these practices were damaging to American democracy as well as internet freedom.

Twitter arguably interfered in the 2020 presidential election by censoring stories regarding Hunter Biden, falsely claiming that such materials were obtained through hacking. CONTINUE READING…
