In yet another hilarious self-own by the legacy media, a new investigation revealed that former President Donald Trump — whom the corporate press relentlessly assailed as “racist” — is the only living U.S. president without slave-owning ancestors.
Five of the last six surviving U.S. presidents, including the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama, are descendants of slave owners, according to a bombshell report published by Reuters on Tuesday.
“In researching the genealogies of America’s political elite, a Reuters examination found that a fifth of the nation’s congressmen, living presidents, Supreme Court justices and governors are direct descendants of ancestors who enslaved Black people,” the outlet reported.
It was stated that at least 100 of the 536 members of the previous Congress descended from slaveholders.
More than 25 percent of the Senate belonged to a family with at least one slaveholder.
Both black and white legislators are descendants of slaveholders.
“In addition, President Joe Biden and every living former U.S. president — except Donald Trump — are direct descendants of slaveholders: Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and — through his white mother’s side — Barack Obama,” Reuters reported.
Trump’s ancestors did not own slaves because they immigrated to the United States after the abolition of slavery in 1885.
According to a 2021 genealogical analysis published by Politico, Biden’s great-great-great-grandfather owned two slaves, while another great-great-great-grandfather enslaved a 14-year-old boy.
Ironically, while the Reuters report singled out several Republican legislators regarding their family trees, its silence regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s slave-owning ancestry is deafening.
Possibly because Harris’ ancestors owned slaves in Jamaica and not in the United States.
In their most recent race-baiting endeavor, the legacy media likely hoped to unearth Trump’s progenitors’ dark, slave-owning lineage, only to come up empty-handed.
