Advocates of the America First agenda in Washington, DC, have split painfully over who should be Speaker of the House, and tensions are growing everyday as a result of the need to make a decision.
The best part is that radical leftist Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) won’t be in leadership ever again because the GOP gained enough seats to win the majority. However, on Capitol Hill, the jubilation over her departure is short-lived because of the battle for her position.
Surprisingly, Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a steadfast supporter of US Rep. Keven McCarthy (R-CA) and President Donald J. Trump’s agenda who just won re-election, has come out in favor of giving McCarthy leadership of the party. She has received criticism from her covert GOP colleagues for her support of McCarthy.
One insider is spreading the rumor that Greene’s unexpected support for McCarthy was motivated by personal benefit and status. And some of her dearest friends and colleagues are criticizing her for her actions.
Many Americans view McCarthy as a RINO, a self-serving, frequently dishonest rival of Trump and the broader Conservative-Populist MAGA movement.
Greene has frequently appeared in the media to support McCarthy and other US House members. Additionally, she supported Kevin McCarthy’s election as the new House Speaker.
McCarthy received 188 votes to 31 this week, winning the Republican Party’s candidacy for Speaker. Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona also ran.
McCarthy will be up for re-election as Speaker in January, but according to insiders, he lacks the votes necessary to win. As a result, the fight is on, and Greene is making a strong effort to back McCarthy, a representative of the establishment.
Biggs, a founding member of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, claimed in a statement that the American people “want us to turn a page” after he declared his candidacy on Twitter.
Biggs recalls how Republican Paul Ryan deceived Trump in such a way that it prevented him from advancing some of his pro-American agenda during the first two years of his presidency.
Choosing who will set the agenda as the Speaker- is extremely vital to ever push back on the left- Republicans have been accused of being weak and missing the backbone to stand up to the most absurd radical policy initiatives and attacks on the Republic.
More on this story via The Republic Brief:
The party needs to choose a focused, pro-American champion, and McCarthy has had plenty of opportunity to play that role, and he has failed to do so- so there is little trust in him.
Biggs appeared on the War Room with host Steve Bannon before the vote- to make his case for why he was running for Speaker and said that he knows he doesn’t have a chance to win, but he also knows McCarthy doesn’t have the support to win either. Biggs indicated that the party should unify behind another candidate them because McCarthy was simply unacceptable as Speaker for the next term.
The American people are hoping to see a very determined group of representatives conduct investigations into very important matters- and the trust for McCarthy to do that just isn’t there for most- but it is for MTG. CONTINUE READING…
