Republicans Say Obama Was Aware of Biden Family Business Dealings

    Published on

James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has made a claim implicating former President Barack Obama in allegations involving the family of his then-Vice President Joe Biden.

In an interview, Comer suggested that Obama was aware of the Biden family’s dubious international business dealings, which have been the subject of a federal investigation for years.

“I believe that it’s because he knew what Joe Biden was doing the last year of his vice presidency,” Comer said. “He knew his son (Hunter Biden) was no good, and he knew this was nothing but a political liability not just for our country, not just for the democrat party, but for Obama’s legacy.”

Comer also suggested that Obama’s knowledge of the family’s business transactions may have influenced his reluctance to endorse Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

“So, I think that’s why Obama didn’t want Joe Biden to run for president. I think they knew about this,” Comer said, referencing the Biden family’s dealings. “And remember, a lot of these coverups would have happened during the Obama administration with Obama appointees in these deep state bureaucracies.”

In addition, he proposed that Obama be questioned under oath about what he may have known at the time.

“This would be a great question for Obama: Were you aware of what was going on with Joe Biden with respect to foreign policy and some of these ragtag countries around the world?” Comer told Dobbs.

Comer stated last week that he has received credible allegations that Hunter Biden’s legal team is intimidating and menacing potential witnesses.

“We’ve got witnesses that are scared to death to come forward. They fear for their lives,” he told the Just the News podcast.

Comer stated that witnesses from his district were under pressure, and that institutions that complied with subpoenas issued by his Oversight and Accountability Committee are under pressure from high-ranking Democratic Party officials.

Comer stated on the program that he was extremely concerned about legal letters and implied threats sent to witnesses by Hunter Biden supporters.

According to reports, cooperating banks have received threats, and political attack campaigns have been funded in the districts of some legislators investigating allegations of Biden family influence peddling.

As Hunter Biden’s attorneys convened with the Department of Justice to discuss the possibility of criminal charges, the case heated up.

In addition, the House Ways and Means Committee authorized an IRS whistleblower to testify about political interference in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden’s tax affairs.

Additionally, Republicans are at odds with the FBI.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy warns FBI Director Christopher Wray once more that he will be charged with contempt of Congress if he fails to turn over a subpoenaed document related to an investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden.

McCarthy was discussing the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations during his Tuesday appearance on “Fox & Friends” when the topic shifted to an impending meeting between Wray and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer.

Their encounter follows Comer’s claims that the FBI has been uncooperative in responding to a subpoena for internal documents regarding the Biden family’s business dealings with foreign entities.

“Today is the deadline. So let me not just tell you, let me tell Director Christopher Wray right here, right now. If he misses the deadline today, I’m prepared to move contempt charges in Congress against him. We have jurisdiction over this. He can send us that document,” McCarthy said.

“We have the right to look at that, Republicans and Democrats alike in that committee, and if he does not follow through with the law, we will move contempt charges against Christopher Wray and the FBI. They are not above the law,” he added. CONTINUE READING…
