President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden may face indictment as the walls close in on them.
Tim Burchett, a member of the House Oversight Committee and a Republican from Tennessee, stated that information provided by an IRS whistleblower seeking protection to testify could lead to Biden’s impeachment.
“This is just the very tip of the iceberg. This very brave IRS agent coming forward, I think, will just start it,” he said to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. “They’re talking about impeaching Biden. How could we not impeach Biden if this does, in fact, reach him?”
The representative also discussed the letter signed by fifty-one former heads of intelligence claiming that the Hunter Bien laptop exhibited characteristics of Russian disinformation.
Former acting CIA Director Michael Morell testified before the House Judiciary Committee that he fabricated the letter after conversing with current Secretary of State Antony Blinken because he wanted Biden to win the 2020 presidential election.
“If I was [among] those 51 people, I’d be lawyering up right now because they’re going to be asked in public at some point what they knew and if they knew that all this other stuff was going on because it is very damning,” the representative said.
“If this cover-up shows what’s going on, that we all assume is going on, and that the 51 folks were basically lied to and showed false documentation, how can you not [impeach Biden]?” he said. “I mean, this is just going on too much.”
“Like I said, the documentation that I’ve seen, I can’t comment on all of it,” the representative said. “But what I can comment on is that it is bad, and it is getting worse, and it is showing illegal monies from Chinese communists flowing into this White House via Hunter Biden and his lawyers.”
“How could we not impeach Biden if this does, in fact, reach him?” he said.
The attorney for the IRS agent who claims to have evidence that a crucial investigation is being mishandled has explained why his client is waiting to be heard.
The unidentified criminal supervisory agent is awaiting protection from members of Congress who can provide it because, according to his counsel Mark Lytle, his client possesses information that contradicts the testimony of a “senior, politically-appointed official of the Department of Justice.”
And while the counsel was unable to confirm that the investigation was the Hunter Biden investigation, sources told Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and other news outlets that this was the investigation to which he was referring, according to Fox News.
Chris Clark, the attorney for Biden, 53, issued a statement alleging that Lytle committed a felony by unlawfully disclosing information about an ongoing tax investigation.
“There has incredible power in abusing that power by targeting embarrassing or disclosing information about a private citizen’s tax matters undermines Americans faith in the federal government,” Clark claimed, according to “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier.
Lytle told Baier that he was troubled by Clark’s statement and that his client had many “sleepless nights” deciding whether or not to testify before Congress.
“At the end of the day, he decided that he could not live with himself if he stayed quiet and said nothing. So he’s coming forward, but he knows that he’s going to be attacked,” the attorney said. “[A]ttacks like this are kind of what he was worried about.”
“There is a strong contingent on the Hill that believes in the whistleblower programs to have to shine a light on government agencies and programs and to enable people to come forward without getting threatened,” the attorney said. “And it’s unfortunate that that statement was made.”
