Politics creates odd bedfellows.
The Attorney General of New York has reportedly rejected a settlement offer from former President Donald Trump and is prepared to sue him and one of his children.
Trump has already accused New York Attorney General Letitia James of being a racist. Now, another prominent politician, albeit a Democrat, accuses her of being “unfair” and targeting him.
James filed a devastating complaint about sex harassment that forced Andrew Cuomo to resign from his position as governor of New York one year ago.
Cuomo has filed an ethics complaint against the state attorney general.
Tuesday, the Attorney Grievance Committee of the state received Cuomo’s 48-page complaint.
According to Business Insider, “the lawsuit elaborates on Cuomo’s previously expressed concerns with James, including his accusations that the report was erroneous or misleading and that James was politically biased.”
It requests a probe and “appropriate action” against James and two of her special deputies, the former acting U.S. attorney Joon Kim and employment attorney Anne Clark.
James is coming after Trump’s family in the middle of these claims.
The New York Times is reporting that Donald J. Trump’s attorneys have rejected an offer from the New York attorney general’s office to resolve a bitterly fought civil investigation into his real estate firm, setting the way for a lawsuit accusing him of fraud.
People say that Attorney General Letitia James is considering suing at least one of Mr. Trump’s adult children. Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Trump Jr. have all served as senior executives at the Trump Organization, Mr. Trump’s corporation.
If a Trump child were to be sued for fraud, Eric Trump is the most probable candidate. He was the president of the Trump Organization throughout Trump’s presidency.
The current tax offenses accusations against the Trump Organization in Manhattan are distinct from this prospective fraud action.

“AG James has been investigating the Trump Organization for lying on loan applications about the value of assets, and documents reveal that the alleged acts of fraud go back years,” the outlet continued.
No one will go to prison for a civil lawsuit, but as James’s action against the NRA demonstrates, the lawsuit can be a crippling blow to the target. If Trump loses, his business could face severe financial penalties and be banned from operating in New York state.
Trump for his part has distanced himself from liberal-run New York, moving from the state and making his permanent residence in Republican-run Florida at his Mar-a-Lago estate. CONTINUE READING…
