House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was arrested earlier this month for driving under the influence.
According to TMZ, Paul Pelosi has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury and Driving with.082 percent Blood Alcohol Level or Higher Causing Injury following a massive public outrage.
If convicted, Paul Pelosi may receive up to five years of probation, a minimum of five days in jail, and the installation of an ignition interlock device.

The day following her husband’s arrest, Nancy Pelosi’s office replied to the news that he was arrested in Northern California on suspicion of DUI.
Pelosi’s spokesperson, Drew Hammill, issued a statement indicating that the 80-year-old California senator would not comment on the alleged crime.
Hammill said in a statement, “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”
