Rep. George Santos, a Republican from New York, was heckled by two members of the far-left “Squad” as he attempted to speak at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol Building on Wednesday.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, both members of New York’s congressional delegation, yelled at Santos to “resign.”
Santos narrowly avoided expulsion from the House due to a succession of lies he told on the campaign trail last autumn.
“Get him out. He gotta go,” Bowman shouted, as he could be seen laughing with his Democratic colleague, who also shouted, “Resign, bro!”
“Resign. Save yourself. Have some dignity,” Bowman yelled again, according to the Washington Examiner. “New Yorkers need better.”

Wednesday, a week after Santos was charged and pleaded not guilty to a 13-count criminal indictment from the Justice Department, the House voted 221-204 to refer the issue of Santos’ expulsion to the Ethics Committee for a comprehensive investigation.
“Have a great day,” said Santos as he left the group of reporters. Bowman yelled at him as he departed.
Following the vote, Bowman also engaged in a contentious exchange with Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has supported Santos throughout his ordeal.
Greene repeatedly said, “Biden is a criminal,” as Bowman exchanged words with her.
“Your party is hanging by a thread,” Bowman claimed.
Green replied, “Nah, we gotta get rid of Biden. We gotta save the country.”

In the meantime, another Republican lawmaker has introduced legislation to expel Rep. Adam Schiff from the House of Representatives after the report of special counsel John Durham disclosed that he repeatedly lied about “collusion” between the 2016 campaign of former President Donald Trump and Russia.
According to reports, Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna introduced the resolution late on Wednesday, as demands grew to expel him from the chamber.
Schiff repeatedly lied to the nation for years, claiming he had “evidence” of the alleged collusion and initiating unnecessary “investigations” into the allegation.
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna said. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.
“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she added.
In response, Schiff tweeted, “BREAKING NEWS: A MAGA Republican member of Congress has just filed a petition to expel me from the United States House of Representatives. I opposed Donald Trump and held the MAGA extremists accountable. Now they want retribution. They will target anyone defending the rule of law.
In a report of more than 300 pages that was made public on Monday after a four-year investigation, Durham accused the FBI and the Justice Department of launching an unjustified investigation into the 2016 campaign of then-GOP nominee Donald Trump. His report also revealed that the Hillary Clinton campaign was extensively involved in creating the false narrative that Donald Trump’s campaign was “colluding” with Russia to interfere with the election.
