MSNBC Anchor Faces the Wrath of Leftists for Pointing Out the Obvious in Fetterman and Oz’s Debate Performance

    Published on

It was impossible for most impartial people to observe the discussion between Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and Dr. Mehmet Oz, two candidates for the Pennsylvania Senate, without concluding that Fetterman was having a terrible night.

Even if you believed Fetterman “won” the discussion on Tuesday night, there is no way to prove it.

And if you believed he fell short? So perhaps don’t bring it up lest you want to have to deal with the whole barrage of hyperpartisan Democratic fans.

One need just consider MSNBC presenter Andrea Mitchell, who endured a vicious verbal attack after daring to suggest Fetterman might not have won the discussion.

The day following the discussion, Mitchell remarked that “Dr. Oz was so much more polished.”

The following is a summary and analysis of the debate from MSNBC:

However, it seems that merely mentioning that Oz was more “polished” was enough to anger the most ardent Democrats.

One commenter at MSNBC claimed that Mitchell had connections with powerful people:

“Funny Andrea I don’t always understand what you’re saying. It takes you forever to get a sentence out. You get stuck in your thoughts all the time,” according to another Twitter user.

One Twitter user even found a vintage Mitchell video footage when she was shown having trouble staying awake during a segment:

According to all appearances, Mitchell’s criticisms of Fetterman’s debate performance were general and not very stinging.

There are a few occasions she could’ve especially harped on if she had wanted to intentionally target Fetterman, as many leftists on Twitter are suggesting she is doing.

To be fair to Mitchell’s most outspoken detractors, all signs point to a “red wave” in the midterm elections, so it makes sense why they’d be extra sensitive to anything they thought may increase the likelihood of that outcome.

Election day is November 8. One of several races decided that night will be for Pennsylvania governor.
