Marjorie Taylor Greene Makes Shocking Admission About 2024 Plans

    Published on

The possibility that former President Donald Trump could seek the presidency once more in 2024 has sparked additional rumors about his choice of running partner.

Elise Stefanik, a New York representative and the third-ranking member of her party, has recently been the subject of numerous reports.

“Elise Stefanik Is Most Likely to Succeed,” a September Foreign Policy article, describes how “A young woman once hailed as the future of the Republican Party embraces Trumpism to stay that way.”

“At 30 years old, Stefanik had been the youngest woman ever to be elected to Congress in 2014. At a time when the party sought to reach a younger and more diverse pool of voters, she was hailed as the future of the Republican Party.” the article says.

“Having hitched her cart firmly to Trump, Stefanik looks to have as bright a future within the Republican Party as when she was first elected to Congress eight years ago. She endorsed his still hypothetical candidacy for 2024—and has already been tipped as a potential running mate.” according to the report.

“While the former president and his progeny have repeatedly hinted that a third run for the White House may be in the works, some longtime conservative observers see the beginnings of a post-Trump future in the strategies of rising stars such as DeSantis, the Florida governor, and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Both DeSantis and Youngkin have toed a careful line, neither embracing the former president nor the suicide vest of never-Trumpism,” it continues.

In the meanwhile, CNN reported in late May that Stefanik is probably a front-runner:

Although speculation about a 2024 vice presidential candidate is obviously early, sources indicated that Stefanik has been brought up more frequently in over the last week at Mar-a-Lago and within other Republican circles. Trump’s circle, including current and former advisers, have personally argued that the New York Republican, who took Rep. Liz Cheney’s place as the third-ranking House Republican last year, is a ferocious and devoted attack dog and that, should he run again, Trump would benefit from picking a woman for vice president.

According to two people with knowledge of the situation, Trump has been asking his close friends and allies about Stefanik, one of several Republican women he may be considering for the prospective VP position, though he hasn’t ruled out a few male prospects as well. One of them claimed that the former President thinks Stefanik has truly changed, moving from the party’s moderate wing to its increasingly potent “America First” flank.

“There is a part of Trump who thinks he needs a female VP. He definitely likes her, likely because of how effusive she is to him.” according to a former president’s adviser.

According to Mediaite, New York Times Magazine writer Robert Draper claimed on MSNBC on Saturday that Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made the startling disclosure that she would run against former President Donald Trump in 2024.

According to the author, it is “likely” that the former president spoke with other well-known Republican women about similar topics.

He told interviewer Ali Velshi, “To be fair, Ali, it’s very likely that Trump has had this conversation with half a dozen other people too.”

However, he claimed that Greene possesses something that others might not have, according to Conservative Brief.

More on this story via The Republic Brief:

“What Greene possesses that Trump so craves is loyalty. She has always been there for Trump. She has always had his back and after his experience with his last running mate, Mike Pence, it’s clear that he’s going to prize loyalty above all else, so I wouldn’t count it out,” he said.

When Draper spoke to The Daily Beast’s “New Abnormal” podcast he said “that Greene had risen quickly in her first term in Congress by using the same tactics she honed as a right-wing social media influencer harassing Democratic staffers, and she could shoot to the second-highest office in government,” Raw Story reported.
