A growing number of American voters believe that Vice President Joe Biden is not the one making decisions for his administration, which is problematic for the nation.
In the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey, 55% of respondents said that “others are making decisions for him behind the scenes,” while only 38% said that the president is “really doing” his job.
“For the first time, a majority of U.S. voters say Joe Biden isn’t in the driver’s seat,” Rasmussen tweeted.
Mark Mitchell, the chief pollster, says he has consistently surveyed prospective voters about Vice President Joe Biden’s leadership abilities, and the most recent results are the most negative to date, with Biden’s short working hours and infrequent public exposure contributing to this perception.
“The number of voters thinking Biden is really doing the job of president has entirely collapsed, down six points from 44% just over two months ago. The ‘others are making decisions for him’ response is up seven points from 48% at the end of February. It looks like these presidential lids and pictures of notes from Biden’s staged appearances might be starting to add up,” he said this week.
The Washington Examiner added, “His age has been a factor in several polls, but a whopping 73% of respondents to a Rasmussen survey believe it will be a significant factor in the 2016 presidential election.”
Former White House physician under the Obama and Trump administrations, Texas Republican Representative Ronny Jackson has expressed concern about President Joe Biden.
Jackson discussed the malignant lesion that was removed from Biden during an appearance on Fox News, and he believes that more than just the lesion must be removed. Jackson’s remark, which was criticized by some, was that Biden must be removed from office, per his opinion.
“I’m curious about the conversation about his capacity,” the host said to Ronny Jackson, a Republican Texas representative. “You have been discussing the president’s cognitive capacities as a threat to national security. Tell us more.”
“He’s what needs to be removed, not the lesion they found. But this is just another effort from his physician and from his medical team to distract. They’re going to talk about this. They gave us a bunch of useless information about his cholesterol and stuff that no one cares about,” the former White House doctor said.

“All we care about in this country with regards to President Biden — 80 years old, who’s got some obvious cognitive issues — is a cognitive assessment of some sort. We want something on the record to prove to us he’s cognitively capable of doing this job, and it’s almost a moot point at this stage, because we all know he’s not,” he said.
A skin lesion removed from the president’s thorax last month was identified as a basal cell carcinoma, a common form of skin cancer, by his physician earlier this year. According to reports, the physician also stated that no additional treatment was essential.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s longtime physician, verified during a routine physical examination on February 16 that all cancerous tissue had been successfully removed. O’Connor declared Biden “healthy, vigorous, and fit” to execute his duties as president despite his age of 80, according to a report by the Associated Press.
The area where the skin lesion was removed from Biden’s chest has healed well, according to O’Connor, and the president will continue to undergo routine skin screenings as part of his standard health care, according to the AP.
