On June 9, the Democratic-led January 6 committee is expected to hold public hearings. Then, they will present their findings and supporting evidence.
The Washington Post reports that seven Democrats and two RINO Republicans will attempt to prove that last year’s Capitol riot was part of a “multi-pronged plot” by Trump to seize control of the American political system.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat and committee member, promised that the hearings would “blow the roof off the House.”
The hearing is expected to examine the riot in the context of Trump’s alleged election manipulation efforts.
We do not yet know the identities of the witnesses.
In a subsequent session, the Senate is expected to examine a legal theory proposed by former President Trump’s allies, which would give elected officials the authority to disregard the Electoral College results and choose a new candidate.
While Trump instructed rally attendees on January 6 to march to the Capitol and protest “patriotically and peacefully,” Democrats are attempting to demonstrate that he orchestrated the violence. Only Capitol Police officers utilized firearms. Those would seem to be crucial if a president were to organize a “insurrection,” as the Democrats call it.
Also, the vast majority of protesters were peaceful. Hardly an attempt to overthrow the government.
Pres Trump- "March to the Capitol building to peacefully & patriotically make your voices heard."
Maxine Waters- "Make Trump personnel not welcome here, create a crowd, push back & harass them."
Dems- Nothing to see here

Back in January, the Supreme Court allowed congressional investigators access to Trump’s presidential documents relating to the events of January 6.
Following the decision, the select committee reported having already begun receiving records Trump had previously ‘hidden’ from them.
‘The Supreme Court’s action tonight is a victory for the rule of law & American democracy,’ the socialist committee posted to Twitter.
In the days leading up to and after the riot, Trump offered theories about election fraud and said that the ‘real insurrection’ occurred when he lost to Biden on Election Day. Read more here…
