People frequently state on social media that they are tired of waiting for anything from the Special Counsel’s office of attorney John Durham and have given up hope that anything major will arise from his very lengthy investigations.
People’s dissatisfaction with the limited amount of information that leaks out after a rare court case has been made public is frequently discussed in the news.
A new revelation from a former FBI agent asserts that Durham is on the move. This report gives people hope that something positive is on the horizon that will dismantle some of the vast government corruption that people are aware of.
The significance of Special Counsel John Durham’s ongoing inquiry into the origins of the “Trump-Russia collusion” investigation is outlined in an opinion piece published by The Hill.
The article by Kevin R. Brock, a former assistant director of intelligence for the FBI, notes that after Durham was appointed late in former President Trump’s term, the country did not hear much from him for a year. Aside from indictments of “peripheral” characters, it appeared to many Trump supporters that Durham’s investigation would not produce much and “that elites higher up the stack will get away with their chicanery,” as Brock noted.
“The problem for Durham is that these perceptions were providing the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) with increasing political top cover to shut down the special prosecutor’s office as an unproductive, politics-driven exercise in futility that is wasting taxpayer dollars,” Brock continued.
“If Durham were to be terminated, the American people might not even push back much since no one had a clue whether his investigation was bearing meaningful fruit,” he wrote.
Brock continued by stating that Attorney General Merrick Garland has already taken steps to undermine Durham by repairing the reputation of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was sacked during the Trump administration.
But, he argued, Durham could not simply have a press conference and reveal the inner workings and findings of his probe. In lieu of this, on February 11 he utilized a relatively “innocuous” court file that contained a number of bombshell admissions, thereby revealing his conclusions.
Brock composes:
Within the court filing, John Durham presented an impressive portion of the case he is constructing. Durham disclosed the contours of a corrupt plan between Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign operatives. The uncovered conspiracy allegedly attempted a fabricated, false, and frightening attempt to convince the FBI and CIA to use their authority against the opposition Trump campaign and presidency.
Martin Walsh reported additional details for Conservative Brief.
Durham’s recent filing was intended to have two impacts. First and foremost, he has made it much more difficult for the president or attorney general to remove him from office. The last president to dismiss a special prosecutor who was making considerable progress was ousted from office.
Durham has conveyed to the American public that his probe has legs, despite perceptions of sluggish inaction. He has instilled optimism that accountability in Washington, D.C., which is as rare as a MAGA sticker on a Prius, might actually occur.
Brock determines that, in light of Durham’s latest revelations, there are more than adequate grounds for him to continue his investigation.
Senate Democrats are also considering taking action against Durham as he prepares to issue an investigative report on the genesis of the phony “Trump-Russia connection” story following a more than two-year investigation.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee responded over the weekend to a well-timed New York Times piece alleging there were ethical problems during the inquiry that led to the departure of several staff members.
They included purported concerns regarding the involvement of former Attorney General William Barr in the investigation, as well as the decision to proceed to trial without sufficient evidence.
“These reports about abuses in Special Counsel Durham’s investigation — so outrageous that even his longtime colleagues quit in protest — are but one of many instances where former President Trump and his allies weaponized the Justice Department,” committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) noted in a statement.

“The Justice Department should work on behalf of the American people, not for the personal benefit of any president. As we wait for the results of ongoing internal reviews, the Senate Judiciary Committee will do its part and take a hard look at these repeated episodes, and the regulations and policies that enabled them, to ensure such abuses of power cannot happen again,” he said.CONTINUE READING…
