Interviewer Booted From Trump’s Plane After What She Did To His Face

The majority of Anglosphere residents have lived their lives without being cognizant of Ruby Wax. Since the early 1990s, the American-born comedian has been a BBC mainstay, hosting (or “presenting,” in British parlance) a number of programs for the U.K.’s public broadcaster. However, the British are not nearly as privileged.

However, the 70-year-old will likely be remembered by the rest of the world as the individual who was ejected from Donald Trump’s private jet for making fun of him when he declared his intention to run for president in the 1990s.

Wax repeated the story on the Wednesday episode of Kate Garraway’s ITV discussion program. Garraway is just another bizarre British media flibbertigibbet that, if you’re inquisitive, you’re better off not knowing about.

Wax stated in the interview that the subjects of her program would reveal “really personal things” during meals that she would not bring up during the interview itself.

However, things did not go as planned during the supper with Trump.

“Donald — you know, when a man treats you like an idiot, you kind of become an idiot,” Wax said. “Because he knows females, because he just has sex with them. But he couldn’t figure me out. He really was so fierce and so vicious. He said, ‘You’re angry with a smile.’ So he got me, because I was backed into a corner.”

“He did say, ‘I want to be the next president of the United States,’ and I thought it was a joke,” she continued. “I thought, ‘What a sense of humor this guy has.’ So I started laughing.’ And he said, ‘That’s it, I want her off the flight.’

“So we only got to 33,000 feet and we went straight back down again. It’s not a good show.”

This is not the first time that Wax has recounted the story; he has done so previously. After mocking his presidential ambitions on “Good Morning Britain” in 2017, she claimed that Trump “wouldn’t speak” to Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.

“So my crew and I landed and we were stuck in Arkansas with nowhere to go,” she said, according to the U.K.’s Mirror. “We ended up finding him in Nebraska judging a Miss Nebraska contest.”

Trump considered competing for president in the Reform Party in 2000, when American voters took Ross Perot’s party seriously. However, he ultimately lost the 2016 election to Barack Obama, as those of you who have not been in a trance for the past eight years will recall.
