Huckabee Makes Bold Statement About Trump’s Speech Last Night

    Published on

Officially, Donald J. Trump is once again vying for the presidency of the United States in 2024. By submitting his FEC paperwork on Tuesday, Nov. 15, Trump made his candidacy legitimate and official, officially launching what will be a historically drawn-out race for the presidency.

“We will be resisted and attacked, but in the end, WE WILL WIN!”  Trump told a cheering throng. “I believe republicans will overwhelmingly reject the left’s platform of national ruin.”

Just one week after the disastrous and peculiar midterm elections, which exposed numerous issues with the Republican Party’s strategy for engaging with the public, encouraging turnout, and winning elections, Trump delivered a speech at a gala dinner from his Florida family home of Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening.

Speaking at the gathering from a big ballroom, Trump discussed the hazards of running for office again and asked for prayers. He also mentioned how the “deep state, the media, and the lunatic leftists” constantly attack him and his family because of his steadfast support of America First policies.

Trump appealed for prayers and described the campaign for president as “dangerous” in his speech while being flanked by numerous American flags.

Trump supporter Mike Huckabee was quoted by Newsmax as discussing the significance of Trump’s statements from Tuesday:

Former Arkansas GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee said he had “some reservations” regarding former President Donald Trump delivering his official announcement on Tuesday night, but that this “pitch-perfect speech” might make Trump once more “unbeatable.”

As soon as the speech was over, Huckabee told Newsmax presenter Rob Schmitt, “I think he’s going to be unbeatable if he stays in this message.”

Prior to Herschel Walker’s final vote from the runoff on December 6, Huckabee had stated that he wanted Trump to delay making his official announcement until after the lengthy process of counting ballots.

Huckabee, reversing his stance from earlier in the day on Newsmax, said, “I thought it was a pitch-perfect speech.”.

No matter who runs, Huckabee claims that this message can render him “unbeatable.”

“This is the message that, if he sticks to it, I believe will make him unbeatable, unbeatable in the primary and unbeatable in the general election,” Huckabee added.

“We need a party that fights for working-class men and women who come home bone tired from a day’s work, having sweat through their clothes, and they know that somebody in a place of power is fighting for them.
“Tonight, Donald Trump said I’m that guy. I’ll be there for you. I thought it was a brilliant speech.”

Huckabee’s prior “reservations” were abated by Trump’s speech at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

“I’m telling you, I think it’s a winning message,” Huckabee said. “I had some reservations, to be very honest, about him making this announcement right now, because we have an election going on in Georgia.” CONTINUE READING…
