Hot Mic Catches Vicious Attack by Fox News Regular for Tucker, Jesse, Fans of ‘Hate Network’

    Published on

Fox News continues to outperform all cable news broadcasts in the ratings thanks to the top programs it produces, presented by comedian Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, and Tucker Carlson.

And it seems that this is the reason why some people despise the network’s success.

In a hot mic moment, comedian Francis Ellis from Barstool Sports lashed out at Fox News, viewers, and host Tucker Carlson for “trafficking in hate” in order to communicate his true feelings about the broadcaster on which he frequently appears.

Due to an editing error, Ellis’ true emotions were revealed in Tuesday’s Barstool Rundown episode.

Ellis recently admitted he had been “disappointed” with himself during an interview on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

“After the “Rundown” signed off on Tuesday, co-host Adam “Rone” Ferrone asked Ellis about his Monday night appearance with Watters. The exchange was never meant to be public, but it was mistakenly published online before Barstool yanked it down — and after Mediaite grabbed the unedited audio,” according to BizPacReview.

Watters “wanted me to talk about how Democrats in Massachusetts want to lower the voting age to 16,” Ellis reportedly told Rone.

“I did a To Catch a Predator joke,” he said. “I had a QAnon reference in there.”

The comedian felt that the part didn’t go as he had hoped.

He explained, “I was like, I’m trying too hard.”

“Rone noted that Watters began his career at Fox doing “man on the street” interviews for Bill O’Reilly and wondered if Ellis would be interested in a similar path to Fox News stardom,” BPR went on.

“They have asked me to do man on the street for them, and I had to say no,” Ellis stated. “They wanted me to take like this subway bingo card down into the subway and be like — ask random strangers, ‘Have you seen a rat, fill out your bingo card thing? ’ And it was like so stupid.”

“But what if they offered you not just a segment, but what if they’re like ‘Francis, we want you to do the eight o’clock to nine o’clock hour!” Ferrone pushed.

“Well, yeah, I mean then that would be — I’d have to have a conversation with [Barstool Sports founder] Dave [Portnoy] for sure,” he replied. “Like, ‘Hey, I have a full-time job being offered to me at Fox News.’”

At that point, the excitement for the host and the network that consistently gives him airtime waned.

According to Ellis, neither he nor his wife are fans of Fox News, its hosts or its millions of viewers. As far as anyone can tell, he’s just in it for television appearances. CONTINUE READING…
