Robert Crimo III, the suspect in the Highland Park shooting, was without an attorney on Wednesday as he appeared in court for the first time.
Defense lawyer Tom Durkin was initially unable to access the Zoom conference during a video hearing.
After that problem was fixed, a bigger one started to occur. Durkin, who had been employed by Crimo’s family, claimed he has recently discovered he may be in dispute.
As the confusion developed, tweets recorded it.
