Greg Gutfield’s Late Night Fox Show Destroys Competition

Fox News has maintained its lead in the ratings.

The conservative network once again won the July ratings.

In July, Fox News was the most-watched channel on cable television, both during the day and during primetime.

“FNC just completed its 18th consecutive month as the most-watched basic cable network in total day, averaging 1.35 million total day viewers in July 2022, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. Fox also averaged 194,000 adults 25-54 in total day for July.

Compared to the previous month of June, however, Fox News lost -2% in total day viewers and -8% in the total day demo.

How about Fox News primetime? The network remains far and away No. 1 in cable news, but shed -3% in total primetime viewers and -8% among the primetime demo vs. June,” Ad Week stated.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Fox News has the most talked-about program.

Who will fill the shoes of a ratings powerhouse when a highly rated host exits is a source of anxiety when they depart.

In 2015, after Jon Stewart announced he would stand down after 16 years as host of The Daily Show, Oliver Morrison of The Atlantic posed the following question: “Why hasn’t a conservative Daily Show found a place on Fox?”

It now appears that there may be one.

Greg Gutfield, the host of the television program Gutfield!, is a rising star with a novel perspective.

Gutfield, who comes from Fox News’s late-night “Red Eye” program, continues the funny tradition with his weekly show, which Gutfield believes in jest “will forever change the way you watch television.”

The show is an hour of weekly, varied comedy that provides commentary on current events through parodies, panel discussions, interviews, and monologues by Gutfield.

Since last year, “Gutfield!” on Fox News has been gaining popularity in the ratings.

Last year, Dave Berg, co-producer for the renowned “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and author of “Behind the Curtain: An Insider’s View of Jay Leno’s Tonight Show,” told Fox News, “He’s up there with the best of them.”

The following network will be added in June 2021:

“Gutfeld!” has completely dominated the timeslot competition on both CNN and MSNBC.

In fact, the Fox News late-night show attracted more viewers than anything CNN had to offer, at any time, during crucial May Sweeps.

Berg remarked, “Gutfeld is doing jokes no one else is doing, he’s showing that the emperor has no clothes and nobody else is.”

More on this story via The Republic Brief:

“He’s hitting areas, I’ll call it jokes, that appeal to conservatives, topics that the others aren’t doing like Critical Race Theory and cancel culture, showing all the flaws of the administration that none of the other late-night hosts are doing.”

Berg went on to note that after Leno and Letterman, the current crop of network late-night offerings featured hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel who are so far left they alienate at least half the country. CONTINUE READING…
