This week, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made a shocking accusation against the first son Hunter Biden based on information garnered from “staggering” bank statements.
The Georgia Republican stated in an interview that the statements and suspicious activity reports indicate that Hunter was involved in sex trafficking schemes, citing the documents and the money transfers between him and prostitutes.
“This is true human sex trafficking of people that are not even citizens. And the question is, were they being held in some sort of sex slavery?” Greene said. “These are the crimes that the FBI and the Department of Justice should be investigating and prosecuting with Hunter Biden because the evidence is all there, and the women are easily accessible. You can talk to them and call them in as witnesses.”
In the meantime, the Department of Justice is approaching a decision on whether to indict Hunter Biden for potential crimes involving taxes and a gun purchase, following extensive investigations.
The New York Post reported that federal prosecutors met with Hunter Biden’s counsel last week before deciding whether or not to proceed.
Attorneys for Hunter met with prosecutors from the US Attorney’s office in Delaware, David Weiss, in Washington to discuss the ongoing investigation that has spanned two presidential administrations and persisted for more than four years.
Weiss is close to deciding whether he will pursue charges against Hunter on felony and misdemeanor tax offenses, as well as lying on a federal gun purchasing form, or abandon the case entirely, according to sources who spoke with The Washington Post.
Word of a charging decision comes after “FBI investigators reportedly expressed ‘growing frustration’ over the pace of the inquiry, and an IRS whistleblower came forward to allege Hunter has received ‘preferential treatment’ under the auspices of Attorney General Merrick Garland,’” The Post noted.
“It is also unclear how Hunter’s abandoned laptop has aided the probe after the FBI seized its hard drive in late 2019,” the outlet noted further.
In recent weeks, Hunter has been seen by his father’s side, including on a recent trip to Ireland, where President Joe Biden publicly praised his son and declared himself “proud” of him.
The tax investigation into Hunter’s international business dealings with Chinese and Ukrainian entities commenced in 2018, investigating any potential tax and money laundering violations. Hallie Biden, Hunter’s ex-sister-in-law and lover, disposed of his handgun in a dumpster behind a small grocery store in Delaware, prompting a search by Secret Service agents and the disclosure of its sale to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives.
According to an October 2018 form for the purchase of a firearm, Hunter answered “no” to the query “Are you an illegal user or addict of marijuana or any other depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or other controlled substance?”
In previous federal cases, felonies have been presented for lying on a gun form, as in the case of rapper Kodak Black. In 2019, he received a three-year prison sentence for fraudulently purchasing four firearms from a Miami store.
