In recent years, polarized politics in America have given way to violence, most notably during the BLM riots, where acts of violence such as murder and vandalism went unpunished but were nonetheless tolerated, and during the investigation into the events at the Capitol on January 6, which has been addressed but has been politically centered on the former president Trump, who was not charged with any crimes in connection with the incident.
President Biden’s comments, in which he has used events like the 9/11 anniversary to argue that Republicans, who are by definition in favor of a republic governed by a constitution, are opposed to our Republic, have done little to lessen the rift.
Another Republican lawmaker has been attacked in the run-up to the midterm elections, which, coincidentally, the party is expected to perform well in, according to most polls. The attack on the husband of House Speaker Pelosi in California caused the media to jump to conservatives’ defense with accusations that were quickly disproven.
According to reports, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was hit by a beer on Monday while participating in a victory parade for the Major League Baseball champion Houston Astros.
“HPD made one arrest during today’s victory parade,” the Houston Police Department said in a statement. “A male, 33, threw a beer can at U.S. Senator Ted Cruz as the Senator was on a float in the 2400 block of Smith St. The beer can struck the Senator in the chest/neck area. The Senator did not require medical attention.”
The statement went on to say that “Nearby HPD officers arrested the male without further incident,”. “He was taken to jail and faces assault charges. We will release the suspect’s name and booking photo here when formal charges are filed.”
The Daily Wire added the following:
The beer can that was thrown at Cruz did not appear to have been opened, indicating that it would be much heavier than an empty can, as it struck the rear of the military Hummer Cruz was travelling in with a loud thud. When the attack occurred, Cruz’s young daughters were standing next to him.
A video captured Cruz on the truck’s back responding when a beer can was launched in his direction. The can hit Cruz despite his and a staff member’s attempts to divert it with their hands as they both simultaneously reached up. The employee then indicated to the police and parade security personnel where the offending beer can had originally come from by pointing into the throng.
“As always, I’m thankful for the Houston Police and Capitol Police for their quick action,” Cruz said in a statement to the publication. “I’m also thankful that the clown who threw his White Claw had a noodle for an arm.”

“We must be honest with each other and with ourselves,” Biden said during the speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia in September, under red lighting with a pair of U.S. Marines in the background. “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”
“MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution,” he claimed without context or explanation. “They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election.”
“And they’re working right now, as I speak in state after state, to give the power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election-deniers to undermine democracy itself,” Biden continued. CONTINUE READING…
