Fox News’ Dana Perino Discusses Health ‘Incident’ With Her Doc On Live Segment

    Published on

Longtime Fox News host and former White House press secretary for President George W. Bush disclosed a health “incident” live on air with her doctor during a segment.

Perino was accompanied by her co-host Bill Hemmer and her “trusted doctor” Arash Akhavan during the segment. Hemmer began by stating, “Dana, my partner, just had an incident.”

She stated that she first met Akhavan several years ago when she discovered a mark on her forehead. “I was concerned,” she declared. She did not specify the nature of her condition, but she did say she received treatment and “got ahead of it.”

However, Akhavan may have given the game away by stating that “prevention” and “early detection” are the most effective treatments for skin cancer.

“In your case [Perino], we were able to detect things early and take care of it before it became a real issue,” said the physician.

Perino praised her make-up artists for concealing the location while she was receiving treatment.

“The makeup artists were very good, covering it up all the time,” she said.

May was skin cancer awareness month, and the Skin Cancer Foundation reported that “1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer by the age of 70.”

The organization added: “More than two people die of skin cancer in the U.S. every hour.”

Dermatologist Akhavan discussed the prevalence of skin cancer: “Each year, more cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the United States than all other cancers combined.”

“I always tell my patients, ‘Look for the ugly duckling.’ If one of the spots doesn’t match the other spots, bring that to the attention of a board-certified dermatologist,” he said.

When asked about sun tanning, he stated, “If your skin is getting enough UV exposure to cause a tan, then it is getting enough UV exposure to cause DNA damage that can lead to skin cancer and promote aging.”

In the aftermath of Tucker Carlson’s dismissal in April, Fox News and its affiliated networks continue to undergo turbulent changes.

According to Broadcasting & Cable, Fox Business is discontinuing the long-running program “Kennedy,” which airs at 7 p.m. EDT, and will instead air reruns of former Trump administration economist Larry Kudlow.

According to the claim, Lisa Kennedy Montgomery will remain at Fox News and will continue to appear on “The Five,” “Outnumbered,” and other programs.

Wall Street Journal at Large with Gerry Baker no longer airs at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays on Fox Business, with Barron’s Roundtable relocating into that time slot. Currently, Barron’s Roundtable is held on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Baker will continue contributing to Fox News Media, according to the report.

Fox Business Network concludes each broadcast day with reruns of COPS, with new episodes presently airing on Fox’s streaming service Fox Nation.

Fox News announced on April 24 that popular primetime host Tucker Carlson and the network “have mutually agreed to part ways” after more than a decade of working together.

“Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st, Fox News said, meaning Carlson did not get a chance to sign off to his viewers. The news comes days after Fox News reached a historic 11th-hour settlement with Dominion Voting Systems for over $787 million,” Axios reported. CONTINUE READING…
