She is the daughter of Australian-born actor Rod Taylor, who acted in several American films, including The Time Machine, One Hundred And One Dalmatians, The Birds, and Inglourious Bastards, his final film appearance before his death in 2009.
Taylor, a former journalist, has covered various high-profile stories from the field and conducted interviews with numerous prominent personalities.
Taylor had positions as anchor, correspondent, talk show presenter, and producer at CNN.
Taylor previously contributed to CNN’s Business Updates and CNN International’s World Business Today.
She co-hosted the Daily Cafe on Retirement Living TV until November 2009.
Taylor serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for both the Brooklyn Museum and Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation. She is a member of the Hope for Depression Research Fund’s advisory group and serves as president of the Taylor Foundation, her family’s philanthropic organization.
Taylor has been in trouble with the cops on many occasions for dubious driving conduct.
Taylor, who co-hosted “Daily Cafe” on Retirement Living TV until 2009 and worked for WNBC-TV from 1998 to 2006, was arrested for drunk driving in 2015.
Police claimed she was arrested with a blood-alcohol level that was more than three times the legal limit after she side-swiped another vehicle in the Hamptons.
According to authorities, Taylor was so intoxicated after the late-afternoon crash on Main Street in Sag Harbor on September 4 that she was brought to Southampton Hospital for “medical examination.” She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
