First Photo Released Of Donald Trump After FBI Raid

    Published on

In an effort to gather evidence against former President Donald Trump, the Department of Justice searched his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, for allegedly unlawfully obtained items.

The DOJ instructed FBI agents to search Trump’s residence.

    Fox News announced:

Multiple sources have told Fox News that the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago is linked to the papers that Trump reportedly carried to his private estate after he left office.

The National Archives and Records Administration submitted this issue to the Justice Department after discovering classified documents in 15 boxes at the property.

Although federal law prohibits the movement of secret materials to unauthorized sites, it is plausible that Trump would assert that, as president, he has the ultimate declassification authority.

A source informed Fox News that FBI officers searched each office, safe, and document box at Mar-a-Lago without opening them on the premises. They took boxes and documents for subsequent review.

According to a source for Fox News, “they were not selective with what they stole.”

Fox News has learnt that Trump was in New York City when the raid was conducted and is presently on route to Florida.

An FBI source verified that Washington, D.C.-based Evidence Response Team agents performed the raid and alerted the Miami Field Office shortly beforehand.

According to Fox, this is the first photo of Trump since the raid.

More on this story via The Republic brief:

Per standard protocol, FBI Director Wray and Attorney General Garland were aware of the raid even if shortly before and would have been fully briefed,” Fox News added.

“Per sources familiar with the matter, the FBI raid is related to the alleged taking of potential classified information upon leaving Washington on January 2021 – not the January 6th investigation,” the report added.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, one of many criticizing the raid, called it “an unprecedented political weaponization of the Justice Department.” CONTINUE READING…
