Fight Breaks Out Between Trump And Jeb Bush After Bush Family Gets Called Out

    Published on

President Donald J. Trump reportedly said during two “Save America” rallies over the weekend that Jeb Bush’s father, former President George Bush, should be investigated for illegally concealing classified documents in a Chinese restaurant. Jeb Bush was not pleased with these remarks.

At a rally on Saturday in Nevada, Trump asserted that the late Bush took papers to a “Chinese restaurant/bowling alley,” and he added that numerous former presidents deserved to be looked into for their handling of White House documents.

24 hours later, on Sunday, Trump reiterated these statements during his rally in Arizona.

“Bush Sr.’s son Jeb Bush said the claims are ‘confusing’ and questioned ‘what the heck is up with’ Trump
The former president’s comments follow an FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago in August related to a probe into Trump taking classified documents from the White House,” according to The Daily Mail.

Jeb Bush criticized Donald Trump for suggesting that his deceased father had taken White House materials to a Chinese restaurant and bowling alley as a convoluted justification for taking sensitive records when he left office.

Trump demanded probes against the late George H. W. Bush, who presided from 1989 to 1993, as well as previous presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama during the rally.

George H.W. Bush combined millions of records in a former Chinese restaurant and a former bowling alley. So they’re at a bowling alley/Chinese restaurant,’ Trump declared on Saturday night at a rally in Minden, Nevada.

Contrarily, I had a very limited (roughly speaking) number of boxes and storage at Mar-a-Lago that were secured by the Great Secret Service, the former president asserted as a guarantee that the records were secure.

At a point in the rally when he was criticizing the FBI for searching his house in August to retrieve records he removed from the White House before he left office in January 2021, Trump made his latest allegations about the 41st president.

The Daily Mail provided additional information regarding what they thought motivated Trump’s remarks about the prior presidents:

DO YOU BELIEVE TRUMP WHEN HE SAYS GEORGE H. W. BUSH “MISHANDLED” PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS?

Looking back at the Iran-Contra scandal is necessary to fully comprehend Trump’s assertions on Bush Srimproper .’s management of data.

From 1989 until 1993, George H. W. Bush served as president. Prior to that, he served as Ronald Reagan’s vice president for two terms.

In 1982, a crude email prototype was installed on the computers in the White House. At the time, there was no precedent mandating that emails get the same level of security as other White House records.

More than 5,000 notes that were also stored in memory banks on White House computers were destroyed in 1986 by two men who were indicted for their participation in the Iran-Contra scandal.

During the investigation of American ties with Iranian terrorists, a district judge granted an injunction barring the destruction of emails as a result of the National Security Archive (NSA) suing Ronald Reagan in 1989.

The same year, another judge decided that suing former President George H.W. Bush was permissible in order to guarantee emails had the same safeguards as other White House papers. The same judge decided in 1993 that emails from the Reagan and H. W. Bush administrations should be protected.

As a result of his suspicions that the Bush White House was preparing to delete email data, he also directed them to retain computer records.

Don Wilson, the director of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and Bush later entered into a secret deal that gave Wilson power over the email data and resulted in records being lost, deleted, or damaged.

The entire incident changed how electronic White House data was handled.

The information regarding the Chinese business and bowling alley is taken from a 1994 Associated Press article about how Bush Sr. stashed everything from his life in the building next to the Chinese restaurant and in a warehouse-like space that was previously a bowling alley.

Trump claimed last week in a Truth Social post that in 1993, a federal judge had ordered the preservation of tapes from the George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan administrations, but the tapes were later lost.

In his piece, he asserted that the National Archivist had granted Bush Sr. “exclusive control over all Presidential information.”

‘Compare that to how unfairly and illegally the 45th President, me, has been treated!’

At a second rally in Arizona on Sunday, Trump claimed that Obama moved over 33 million pages of documents to a former furniture store in Chicago, a claim that has been debunked by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Continue Reading…
