Ex-Trump Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders Reveals Cancer Treatment

    Published on

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, 40, is the political-inclined daughter of former governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee.

She is an Arkansas native who attended Little Rock Central High School and Quachita Baptist University before growing up in Pine Bluff and Texarkana.

With her husband Bryan, children Scarlett, Huck, and George, as well as their golden retriever, Traveler, she currently resides in Little Rock.

She must now contest the November election for governor of Arkansas.

Sanders is no stranger to the campaign road; prior to beginning her governor’s race, she was well-known in Arkansas politics thanks to her appearances in advertising for her father’s political efforts.

She oversaw Sen. John Boozman’s 2010 re-election campaign and served as Sen. Tom Cotton’s 2014 advisor.

Sanders became a top adviser to the Republican Trump’s successful 2016 presidential campaign before joining the Trump administration in 2017.

She started out as Sean Spicer’s deputy press secretary before taking over as the 31st White House press secretary in July 2017, solidifying her reputation in the public eye.

She was the first mother and third woman to hold that role.

Sarah is a married mother of three.

Those looking for the truth admired Sander’s direct manner.

She sparred with reporters during her nearly two-year stay at the White House, earning their respect by working behind the scenes to build connections with media personnel.

Prior to leaving her position as White House Press Secretary in July 2019, she served in that capacity for two years. She then started contributing to Fox News.

Former President Trump called Sarah “irreplaceable” and a “fighter” when she left the White House.

She was also referred to as a “very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job” by then-President Trump.

Sanders formerly worked for the Department of Education under the administration of former President George W. Bush and served as campaign manager for the ONE campaign, a global non-profit organization started by Bono of [email protected] to combat extreme poverty and preventable disease, notably in Africa.

She has received honors from TIME and Fortune Magazine’s “40 under 40” list.

She is a Fulbright board member and the author of the New York Times bestseller “Speaking For Myself.”

Now that Sanders has won the Republican primary for governor of Arkansas, Chris Jones, the Democratic nominee, is expected to lose the election on November 8.

In the election for governor of Arkansas, Sanders has focused on national issues, promising to use the position to combat the present Democrat administration and the “extreme left.”

Arkansas, a republican state, has not chosen a Democrat as governor since 2010.

But Sanders’ ascension has been hampered by health problems.

Sanders was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this month after undergoing a biopsy.

She was under pressure to decide quickly on her medical treatment.

Sanders decided to use the strategy that had the highest statistical likelihood of success for defeating the health setback.

Sanders provided an update on her health and disclosed on Friday that she had undergone surgery to treat thyroid cancer in Arkansas.

The 40-year-old Sanders, who is running for governor of the state as a Republican, said in a statement that “During a check-up earlier this month, my doctor ordered a biopsy on an area of concern in my neck and the test revealed that I had thyroid cancer.”

By the grace of God, she continued, “Today, I underwent a successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and by the grace of God I am now cancer-free.”

Sanders received treatment for Stage I papillary thyroid cancer, according to Dr. John Sims, a surgeon at the CARTI Cancer Center in Little Rock.

In a statement, he stated, “Sarah is currently recovering from surgery in which we removed her thyroid gland and some of the surrounding lymph nodes in her neck.”

“The surgery went extremely well, and I expect her to be back on her feet even within the next 24 hours.”

She has “the most common type of thyroid cancer and has an ‘excellent’ prognosis,” he continued.

Even though she will require adjuvant radioactive iodine therapy and ongoing long-term follow-up, Dr. Sims said, “While she will need adjuvant treatment with radioactive iodine, as well as continued long-term follow-up, I think it’s fair to say she’s now cancer free, and I don’t anticipate any of this slowing her down.”

Meanwhile, the mother of three vowed to get back on the campaign trail “soon.”

“I want to thank the Arkansas doctors and nurses for their world-class care, as well as my family and friends for their love, prayers, and support,” she said in her statement. CONTINUE READING…
