Twitter 2.0 is operating like a well-oiled machine under the direction of billionaire Elon Musk, and this is happening with about 67 percent fewer people than it did before to Musk’s takeover.
Additionally, Musk has made it his goal to transform the Twitter headquarters into an actual workplace. Musk has commanded the immediate auctioning of the opulent benefits provided to Twitter staff under the previous administration in order to make his point.
The Daily Wire reports that Musk has hired Heritage Global Partners to auction off most of the extraneous gear at Twitter’s San Francisco hq, notably La Marzocco espresso machines, which can cost upwards of $20,000.
Expensive furnishings and home accents are among the other items up for sale. Even larger statues of the Twitter logo and the “@” symbol, which the service made famous, have been approved for auction by Musk.
It appears like Twitter HQ will ultimately resemble something akin to a *gasp* true office setting where hard-working, responsible individuals go to earn their pay while working on a high-quality product, complete with pizza ovens, braising pans, and refrigerators.
The auction’s news spread quickly on Twitter. There were numerous pictures of some of the goods that were being auctioned.
If anyone is interested in any goods from Twitter HQ, Twitter hired Heritage Global Inc. to conduct an auction to dispose of the surplus items. There are 265 products (chairs, tables, TVs, signs, etc). The remainder will be sent to Twitter. On January 17, the auction will start, a Twitter user noted.

The Heritage Global Auction website states that there are presently “265 lots” out for bid by the general public. Several things can be found in some of the lots.
A ludicrous amount of restaurant and commercial refrigeration equipment was listed in several of the postings.
One can only imagine the pain that the remaining staff members will have when they learn they are no longer able to use a commercial dehydrator. What are they going to do?
Unsurprisingly, many Twitter users enjoyed selecting the products they would bid on very much.
“all i want for christmas is a True TUC-27F SS Undercounter Freezer (2 Drawer) from the auction sale of Surplus Corporate Office Assets of Twitter,” wrote one user in a tweet.

Also included in the sale are pieces of computer equipment and electronics, including monitors, televisions and more. At any other company’s downsizing auction, there are often great deals to be had, especially for start-ups looking for used but working equipment.
But given the popularity of Musk, Twitter and its world-famous headquarters, it’s not a stretch to presume that collectors will drive prices much higher than they would usually go just to snatch up a piece of Twitter history. CONTINUE READING…
