The left is not weathering the cultural shifts that are taking place at Twitter, a huge social media platform on the internet, well as they watch their heroes get dismissed after years of total dominance of the content there.
Twitter employees are preparing for a jobs slaughter as new owner Elon Musk appears ready to fire 3,700 employees globally after his stunning $44 billion takeover.
According to reports in the media, Musk will lay off around half of the company’s personnel. Employees at the social media behemoth will learn their futures at 9am PST.
There is little empathy for the extremists who will receive their “pink slips,” and jokes on the left have only started.
Hey, @elonmusk. Lay off the nerds. I'll help you run Twitter for free.

While those in New York will learn their destinies at 12pm, employees in the San Francisco office are eagerly anticipating an email with the subject “Your Role at Twitter” to drop into their inboxes before 9am today.
“Staff in London and Manchester will receive the news in the same way, by 4pm local time in the UK, with many finding themselves locked out of their accounts when they woke up. Members of staff have reported being logged out of their work accounts and locked out of laptops while the company sealed offices for all of its employees, as Elon Musk began to make sweeping layoffs on Friday,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Sacked workers are suing Musk for not giving enough notice of the mass job cuts, with some posting sentimental messages to the platform after being told they were to be unemployed.”
“Offices in the UK and US have been shut down for the day by Musk, who warned employees that their buildings would be locked and all staff badge access will be suspended in order ‘to help ensure the safety of each employee as well as Twitter systems and customer data.”
The world’s richest man used an internal email to announce the layoffs as part of his strategy to reduce costs at the business, and staff members banded together on internal channels to say farewell.
Bloomberg reported on Friday that according to a class-action lawsuit filed in a federal court in San Francisco, workers claim that the company’s decision to terminate employees without providing adequate notice violates federal and California law.
As the layoffs started, fired Twitter employees posted on the website using the hashtag “#OneTeam” about their final hours at the firm. They mixed emotions of anger and despair with expressions of gratitude for their time there.

Simon Balmain, whose Twitter profile said he was a ‘former Senior Community Manager’ at the company, wrote: ‘Looks like I’m unemployed y’all. Just got remotely logged out of my work laptop and removed from Slack. #OneTeam forever. Loved you all so much. So sad it had to end this way.’
He said he received an email saying there would be mass layoffs, ‘and then around an hour later, folks started getting their laptops remotely wiped and access to Slack and Gmail revoked.’
Another user named Johann told his followers: ‘Heya I just lost access to all my Twitter logins so I guess that’s it.’ CONTINUE READING…
