A pandemic is now occurring. There is evidence that this particular pandemic has been thriving for years, but it was just recently found.
The spreading entity is not a biological agent or a disease. Instead, it is the revelations about how some of our most famous political leaders handled or mismanaged secret information.
In August, the FBI conducted an astonishing raid at the Mar-a-Lago Club in South Florida, where former President Donald Trump resides.
The legality of Trump’s possession of the seized materials remains contested.
The same cannot be said for President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence, both of whom have now been linked to document caches that they admit they have no legal authority to hold. (Both Pence and Biden have stated that they were “unaware” that they possessed the documents, however Biden appears to believe that a locked garage door makes a difference in terms of security.)
As a result of the manner in which knowledge of the virus spread, i.e., through late and piecemeal revelations by some of the affected parties, many now wonder who else will have an unpleasant confession to make before the scandal is resolved.
Former President Barack Obama, for instance, may be concealing important portions of his records.
Soon after the raid on Trump’s Palm Beach residence on August 12, the National Archives and Records Administration published a statement assuring the public that it had “assumed exclusive legal and physical custody of Obama Presidential records when President Barack Obama left office in 2017.”
As the drip-by-drip revelations on the Biden and Pence documents demonstrate, however, it is not totally obvious that the NARA is aware of which documents from prior administrations it may be missing.
Its past performance is not flawless. As reported by The New York Times in 2009, Trump was able to remind NARA in October of the significant loss of sensitive Clinton-era material due to carelessness. Even the National Park Service acknowledged the loss.
So, how does Obama’s team handle questions regarding the subject?
The staff of the former president declined to comment on whether or whether it is undertaking its own search for any mismanaged secret materials he may possess.
“We have nothing for you at this time,” Obama communications director Hannah Hankins told Fox News.
This is not an answer. And that doesn’t look good.
It appears to be a stalling tactic at best. At worst, it’s a snub, a signal to the American public that Obama’s staffers do not feel required to answer a question that, in the context of the times, is apparent and pertinent.
During a time when the present president and a former president are enmeshed in national scandals about records that clearly pertain to the 44th president, common sense suggests that the former president is — or should be — putting his house in order.
Common politeness would necessitate that he or his staff inform the American public that housecleaning is taking place or explain why they do not believe it is necessary.

The absence of such an explanation only breeds the worst suspicions. It’s a question so obvious that at some point, even the Obama cheerleading squad in the establishment media will have to ask it.CONTIUE READING…
