Under the Biden Administration, America’s southern border has deteriorated at an unprecedented rate. In 2022 alone, over 10,000 pounds of lethal fentanyl were recovered among America’s 18 ports of entry, with an unprecedented two million crossings that year. There had been around 150,000 illegal border crossings for 18 straight months. As of September of this year, CBP was finding up to 8,000 illegal immigrants every day, and as long as Democrats are in power, there are no signs that number would decrease.
Vice President Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s so-called “Border Czar,” is not to be seen in that area, while US Customs and Border Commissioner Chris Magnus is really dozing off behind the wheel. There is no dispute as to why this border calamity occurs, disregarding the harm it causes to our nation.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the director of Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, gave Magnus the option of leaving or being fired in an effort to appear as though they were performing damage management. It might be the first step toward resolving this enormous border catastrophe, or it might be infighting and finger-pointing to shift the blame to those in charge of managing this colossal problem. In either case, they are all at fault, and something urgently needs to be done before this catastrophe destroys our nation.
Magnus, who was ejected, is acting in the meanwhile and refusing to be defeated easily.
According to Zero Hedge, US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Chris Magnus resigned after DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas demanded his resignation or termination.
Magnus informed the LA Times that DHS #2 John Tien reaffirmed the request.
In a Friday interview with the Times, Magnus said, “I expressed to him that I felt there was no justification for me to resign when I still cared deeply about the work I was doing and felt that that work was focused on the things I was hired to do in the first place.”
Magnus, a former police commander “‘who is known as a progressive law enforcement leader,” declared he would refuse to do so.
He told the newspaper, “I am excited about the progress I made and look forward continuing that work.”
Republicans and Mayorkas appear to agree on one thing: Magnus must quit immediately. This is because lawmakers have complained about his poor performance, citing claims that he has slept off during sessions.
CBP faced a record-breaking 2.3 million migrants in fiscal year 2022 when Magnus was in charge.

“Based on a recent report by Politico, U.S. CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus has been sleeping on the job – literally. It is unacceptable for someone in such a critical position to skip high-level meetings because of his sleep schedule. America’s top border official is prioritizing naps over national security. Magnus has been snoring through the skyrocketing border crossings since he got the job. Under his supervision, we’ve seen record-breaking border crossings month after month,” said Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) in a statement to the Daily Caller.
According to Magnus, Mayorkas said he had lost confidence in him.
On Tuesday, Magnus ignored an order from Mayorkas not to attend a meeting of Border Patrol chiefs in El Paso. CONTINUE READING…
