On Monday, the number of migrants captured at the southern border of the United States surpassed 2 million for the first time in history.
Customs and Border Patrol documents obtained at the border indicate the record number despite a sustained surge in Texas, Arizona, and California that has overwhelmed local communities.
In response to the massive influx, about one thousand refugees have been allowed to sleep on the streets.
In August, there were 203000 illegal immigrants.
Since they are willing for border cities to face the impacts of unchecked immigration, Republican leaders are eager for liberals who support’sanctuary cities’ to experience them as well.
Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC, declared a public emergency last week due to the continued arrival of buses from Texas and Arizona, allocating funds to house migrants and establishing the Office of Migrant Services (OMS).
The OMS will give illegal immigrants with temporary housing, urgent medical care, transportation, and other assistance.
Pentagon has declined both of Bowser’s requests to activate the National Guard to assist with the thousands of migrants coming in the nation’s capital.
Last Friday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott deployed buses of illegal immigrants to the doorstep of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris stated in an interview that the borders were “safe” just days before Abbott dispatched the most recent wave of individuals in his campaign against so-called “sanctuary cities.”
Abbott has bused thousands of migrants who crossed the Texas-Mexico border into New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago over the previous several months, prompting Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot to label him a “racist” while relocating the migrants.
The liberal mayor of New York, Eric Adams, condemned it as “inhumane” and branded Abbott a “rogue” governor.
On Wednesday, Adams acknowledged that shelters in New York City have reached their ‘breaking point’ after the Texas governor bused over 11,000 people into the city without seemingly noting the influx of refugees into border cities.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is putting his words into action by relocating illegals sent to his state to other states where’sanctuary cities’ should be prepared to accept them. He has accused critics of his decision to fly migrants to Martha’s Vineyard this week of ‘virtue signaling’ and called their concern for the migrants’ welfare a ‘fraud’.

He said: ‘The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door, they go berserk, and they’re so upset that this is happening.’
Lawyers for 30 of the Venezuelan Migrants flown to the affluent island last night called for a criminal probe into DeSantis, accusing him of ‘falsely promising them jobs and immigration help.
He is accused of ‘preying’ on the migrants, with DeSantis responding the migrants knew where they were going having signed waivers. CONTINUE READING…
