Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wished President Joe Biden a “speedy” recovery and also wished the United States a recovery from Biden.
The Washington Examiner stated that DeSantis, who is running for re-election as Florida’s governor, was present at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa on Friday. His impassioned statements have many wondering whether he would become an official 2024 presidential candidate.
DeSantis blasted Biden, regardless of whether he would compete for the White House, for his actions as president and the difficulties his government has caused for Americans.
“I must say he did test positive for COVID,” DeSantis said. “And I want to, on the behalf of the state of Florida, wish President Biden a speedy recovery from COVID. And I also want to wish the United States of America a speedy recovery from Joe Biden.”
Thursday, the president tested positive for COVID.
According to reports, Biden has acquired bodily pains and a sore throat due to the infection and is receiving therapy with Paxlovid.
However, although Biden is experiencing COVID symptoms, DeSantis emphasized that the entire nation is suffering from high gas costs, an immigration issue at the southern border, and widespread inflation.
DeSantis stated, “He came in and turned up the printing machines, crippled American energy, and opened our southern border.”
“In the last year and a half, we have witnessed the biggest illegal migration into the United States in the history of the country. We have record levels of human trafficking, sex trafficking, and drug trafficking,” the governor of Florida stated.
In contrast, DeSantis cited his own accomplishments as governor of Florida, including how he aided his state and opposed “woke” policies and cultural wars.
During the epidemic, he reminded his audience of how he fought against onerous COVID restrictions in Florida. The contentious Parental Rights in Education Act, which he backed and signed into law, delivered a blow to woke education in public schools.
DeSantis also predicted that Republicans will regain control of the House in 2022.

These comments, along with his harsh criticism of Biden, seem to be pointing toward the possibility of DeSantis soon announcing his own run for the White House.
Up to this point, DeSantis has danced around the question of a presidential run and has given no firm indication on his plans.
