Attorney Alan Dershowitz believes that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against former president Donald Trump could result in his disbarment. He stated on the Fox News program hosted by Maria Bartiromo that having Michael Cohen as a witness could be detrimental to the district attorney.
“I don’t think an indictment can actually come forward now after the comments made by [Robert] Costello,” the attorney said.
He said that “he has proved that the main witness is going to be a perjuring liar on the witness stand, and that puts the district attorney in a terrible position.”
“If he uses Cohen as a witness, he could actually lose his bar license. It’s unethical to put a witness on the stand who you know is lying, and he has to know that Cohen will be lying. Or he tries the case without Cohen, which would be very difficult, or he does the right thing: he drops the case,” he said.
Dershowitz, whose former clients included the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, recently made headlines with a contentious interview.
This week, Dershowitz appeared on the Kim Iverson Show, and everything was going well until Iverson asked Epstein who committed suicide in 2019.
Iversen initiated the interview by inquiring about the Manhattan grand jury case against former President Donald Trump regarding the alleged “hush money” payment he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, which was allegedly related to their alleged affair in 2006.
When Iverson queried Dershowitz about his association with Epstein, the situation took an unexpected turn.
“Are you used to having people come on your show to talk about one subject and then sandbagging them on another subject without any warning?” Dershowitz asked as he was clearly upset. “This is the last time you’ll have me on your show.”
“I think I got what I needed out of you,” Iverson replies.
Dershowitz was also asked about Epstein killing himself.
“No. of course not— Wait, um, he didn’t kill himself without the help of some people. He killed himself with the help of um, guards.”

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s erstwhile right-hand woman, has been incarcerated for nearly 20 years, but several cases against Epstein continue.
Recent lawsuits and court cases against Epstein and those with ties to him have prompted speculation that Maxwell could provide additional information to benefit herself in the long term.
“Bill Clinton should be sweating bullets,” reporter Kari Donavan said. “It has long been suspected by court watchers that a notorious list of clientele for Epstein, allegedly including Clinton, would eventually emerge. The shocking warning came out of a new documentary that investigated the role of Britain’s Prince Andrew and his close ties as a client of Epstein’s, when the comments were made that there could be further revelations about other clients of Epstein’s because his madame – Ghislaine Maxwell – who was recently convicted for crimes associated with Epstein has until June 2023 to cooperate with prosecutors, in possibly overturning more names.”
“She is really the person who holds all the secrets,” she added. “This isn’t the end of the story.”
The 20-year prison term of Maxwell has been transferred to a minimum-security facility in Tallahassee, Florida. On July 17, 2037, Maxwell will be eligible for parole from prison.
As the public awaits the imminent release of the complete “client list” maintained by the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, explosive information has come to light.
The U.S. Virgin Islands government has unsealed previously redacted portions of the federal litigation, some of which reveal the relationship between former JPMorgan executive (and later Barclay CEO) Jes Staley and Epstein.
