Since Joe Biden assumed office and opened the southern U.S. border, thousands of immigrants, many of them illegal, have crossed the border, placing a tremendous burden on border states, especially Texas and Arizona.
As Texas Governor Greg Abbott became sick of the massive stream of unaided migrants entering his state, he took action.
Abbott decided to place the matter in the hands of Washington by bringing a large number of illegal immigrants to D.C. on buses.
Fox News reported earlier this year that Governor Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants freed from federal detention in Texas to the nation’s capitol and other destinations outside his state.
“By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., the Biden administration will be able to more immediately meet the needs of the people they are allowing to cross our border,” Abbott said then.
“Texas should not have to bear the burden of the Biden administration’s failure to secure our border,” he added.
Currently, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser claims that Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey have transformed the nation’s capital into a “border town.” Republican leaders transported hundreds of illegal immigrants into the nation’s capital on Thursday, prompting the president to proclaim a state of emergency.
“So it’s been said, but it’s worth reiterating that the governors of Texas and Arizona have created this crisis and the federal government has not stepped up to assist the District of Columbia,” Bowser whined. “So we, along with our regional partners will do what we’ve always done. We’ll rise to the occasion.”
“We’ve learned from border towns like El Paso and Brownsville. In many ways, the governors, Texas and Arizona have turned us into a border town,” she laughably added.

It is the identical argument Abbott and Ducey have been using since since they began bringing illegal immigrants to Democratic-controlled places such as Washington, D.C. and New York.
A few weeks prior to the repeal of Title 42, Governor Abbott stated he would begin transporting migrants.
“To help local officials, whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration, to Washington D.C.,” Abbott explained in April. “We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.”

More than 5,000 migrants had been dropped off in Washington, D.C. by the end of July. In response to the “humanitarian crisis,” Bowser, who previously had made the capital a “sanctuary city,” called for the deployment of the National Guard because she couldn’t handle a few extra people in her city.
“Washington, D.C., finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun and overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants thanks to President (Joe) Biden’s open border policies,” the press secretary for Abbott, Renae Eze, told CNN. “If the mayor wants a solution to this crisis, she should call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border – something he has failed to do.” CONTINUE READING…
