Crowd Erupts At Trump Rally After Trump Makes Presidential Announcement

Battle lines have been drawn for the next two years and if Republicans do win back control of the House and Senate, President Joe Biden has already vowed to essentially become a lame duck by vetoing whatever legislation a GOP majority sends him.

During a recent interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart, Biden was asked how he would “protect women” if Republicans win back Congress, to which he vowed to “veto anything they do.”

    Capehart asked Biden:

“One of the things you said you’re for, Mr. President, is codifying Roe. You said that, you’ve said you need 51 or 53 seats in order, in the Senate in order to make that happen. But what happens if Republicans take control of Congress? How are you going to protect women?” the host said.

To which Biden replied by promising blanket opposition:

“Veto anything they do. They have to get, for them to make Dobbs wo–, for them to outlaw Roe, outlaw the right of a woman, to make a choice with her doctor, to not make exceptions for rape and incest and etc., and pass it out of the Congress to make it the law of the land. The President has to sign it. I’ll veto it,” the president said.

With any compromise off the table, this stalemate between parties means that conservative voters will be looking for the strongest candidate to fight back against the Democrat administration.

In early October, Business insider reported that Kellyanne Conway has told CBS News that Donald Trump would like to announce his 2024 run soon, saying that Trump “wants his old job back.” Conway indicated that she and other GOP figureheads had advised Trump to wait until after the midterm elections in November.

Polls not only show Donald Trump as a favorite among Republican candidates, the New York Times noted that “the American public’s views of former President Donald Trump have remained remarkably stable in recent months, even s he faces multiple investigations” and remains a central figure. The fact implies that the public sees those investigations as futile. The Washington Post mused in October if polls may be undercounting Trump support, and poll.qu.edu stated that 78% of Republicans want to see the former president run for the Oval Office again.

Saturday night former President Donald Trump gave some hints about the matter as he spoke to massive crowds in Texas.
