It’s a common misconception that liberals lack humor. When you’re so busy looking for things to offend you, it’s difficult to find humor in anything.
If there was ever any question that CNN is populated with humorless lefties, go no further than their most recent “fact check” conducted by its top-notch squad of ace detectives:

“This headline never appeared on CNN,” CNN’s PR said on Twitter. “Be better.”
In response to Elon Musk’s sharing of a very bad meme, CNN stated:

Anyone with a sense of humor could tell that the meme was a joke by looking at its grainy texture, lack of symmetry, and peculiar font. The meme brazenly asserted, “CNN: Elon Musk could threaten free speech on Twitter by literally allowing people to speak freely.” (How can you not notice that it’s fake?
With the chyron reiterating, “Elon Musk could threaten free speech on Twitter by allowing people to speak freely,” it displayed a mock Don Lemon segment underneath that headline.
Once more, this is obviously a joke. There is a lot of evidence to support this.
CNN, on the other hand, could not or would not tell the difference. Take note of how they flagged the tweet for breaking “the Twitter rules on sharing false, fabricated and misleading information.” in the aforementioned response.
Musk literally laughed in response to the thinly disguised threat:

There’s quite a bit to unpack when it comes to CNN’s mirthless response.
First, does CNN truly think so little of its audience that it truly doesn’t think they could discern the difference between a fake meme and an actual screenshot? We know the left has an appetite for treating common people as the dumbest breed of animal since the dodo. But to see it play out in real-time on Twitter?
That’s not the best look for CNN.
