A recent poll released this week indicates that Democrats have not ruled out supporting Hillary Clinton if President Joe Biden withdraws from the 2024 campaign.
In contrast, she trailed Vice President Kamala Harris in popularity, making her the least popular vice president since NBC News began monitoring the metric.
Clinton, who is 75 years old, could still be a force in her party if the proper conditions and interests arose.
According to a Premise poll released on Monday, which Democrat would you support if President Biden does not run for reelection in 2024?
Harris prevailed by a razor-thin margin.
In the event that Biden does not run for president, 22% of those surveyed said they would choose Harris over another candidate.
Meanwhile, 17% of potential primary voters supported Clinton.
Although neither figure is particularly impressive, Clinton’s support indicates that she may still have a shot despite being out of the race for nearly seven years.
Clinton defeated independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom of California.
The respective poll results for males were 11% and 9%.
Votes were also cast for Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Each candidate received 7 percent of the vote.
Robert Kennedy Jr. did not poll above 5 percent in the Premise survey, but other surveys have shown he has up to 20 percent support among prospective Democratic primary voters.
Given that she has given no indication that she will run for office again, Clinton’s performance in the Premise survey is somewhat unexpected.
Another significant finding is that 59% of survey respondents are opposed to Biden standing for president a second time.
Between June 27 and June 26, Premise conducted 2,068 smartphone interviews with Americans.
The pollster does not employ a credibility interval or other standard indicators.
Premise describes its technique as follows: “Premise used stratified sampling of its opt-in panel members, along with post stratification weighting based on the American Community Survey to provide a representative sample. These results are weighted by Age, Gender, Region, and Education.”
John Durham appeared before the US Congressional Judicial Committee on Capitol Hill a little over a week ago to brief committee members on his five-year effort to unravel the intricate attacks against the American people.
Most people know it was corrupt Clinton behind the insane ‘Pee Pee Dossier,” including the FBI, who ignored her criminal activity to give her a free pass to start a massive and paralyzing scheme to get herself into the White House, which failed yet consumed and destroyed much of our government, media, and law, enforcement in their assistance to Clinton.
The hearing on Wednesday was quite convoluted, with Durham appearing to make excuses for not delivering justice to the American people while also peppering his testimony with additional evidence of wrongdoing by the same people who have already caused so much damage to our Republic – namely Clinton’s further exposure.
