Recently, Chris Pratt made some insightful remarks regarding portraying military characters.
The famous actor’s new drama “The Terminal List” premieres on Amazon on July 1, and while his character James Reece is fictitious, the book by Jack Carr on which the show is based is extremely accurate regarding the military.

In addition, Pratt portrayed a SEAL Team 6 operative in “Zero Dark Thirty,” so he understands how significant and unique it is to depict a military man.
“What makes these men so particularly special is their mortality. You know, they step into these fights knowing they can die. They don’t do it because they have a bullet proof vest and they’re faster than a speeding bullet… These are guys who have each others’ backs and who routinely do sacrifice their lives in the line of duty. So, playing that, it’s important to ground them in reality and not make them superheroes,” Pratt told BroBible’s “Post Cred Pod” that while portraying military characters, it is crucial to keep them grounded in reality
not make them superhuman.
