After a vehicle slammed into his convoy, requiring hospitalization for the driver, medical personnel examined President Zelensky, but he was not gravely injured.
According to his spokeswoman, the accident occurred in Kiev, and he was afterwards inspected by medics traveling with him.
The collision in Ukraine’s capital did not leave him with catastrophic injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was sent to the hospital by ambulance, according to spokesman Sergei Nikiforov.
The accident’s circumstances will be addressed by law enforcement officials.
The complete text of Mr. Nikforov’s statement is as follows:
“In Kyiv, a car collided with the car of the President of Ukraine and escort vehicles.
The doctors accompanying the head of state provided the driver of the car with emergency assistance.
The President was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were found. Law enforcement officers will find out all the circumstances of the accident.”
A few minutes after Mr. Nikforov’s statement was issued, Mr. Zelensky’s office disseminated the video of his daily evening address.
The accident occurred hours after Zelensky visited troops in the formerly Russian-held city of Izium.
In Ukraine, troops continue to push back, and Zelensky has stated that they are “moving in only one direction- forward and towards victory.”
Yesterday, his men neared the Russian-held border of Donbas as they continued their fightback.
Putin allegedly almost escaped an assassination attempt yesterday before the accident in Kiev.
The limousine he was riding in was apparently struck by a ‘loud bang’ during a purported attack, but the vehicle continued on to safety.
