A story from Tupelo, Mississippi, is emerging.
A city in northeastern Mississippi is called Tupelo.
There are many statues honoring Elvis Presley, who was born there and is recognized for being there.
Tupelo has about 38,000 residents.
Due to the Tupelo gum trees that grew alongside the railroad track, Tupelo’s original name, “Gum Pond,” would change to Tupelo.
Additionally, Tupelo is well-known for its honey, which, as a result of its unusually high fructose to glucose ratio, releases the energy present in the sugar molecules over a longer period of time and significantly lessens the feeling of a “crash” that is frequently connected with sucrose, also known as white or refined sugar.
However, a crisis involving a distinct type of crash is currently developing.
The Tupelo Police Department reported in a statement that early this morning a plane was flying north of Tupelo in the “Benton, Union County Area.”
According to a police statement at 8:35 am, ” Local, State, and Federal authorities are continuing to monitor this dangerous situation.”
The assertion said:
“On 09-03-2022 at approximately 05:00 TPD was notified that the pilot of an airplane (possibly King Air type) was flying over tupelo.
The pilot has made contact with E911 and is threatening to intentionally crash into Wal-Mart on West Main.
TPD has worked with Wal-Mart West and Dodges on West Main to evacuate the stores and disperse people as much as practical.
TPD also has been able to begin talking with the pilot directly
at this time the situation is ongoing with TPD and all Emergency services in our area on alert.
Citizens are asked to avoid that area until an all clear is given.
With the mobility of an airplane of that type the danger zone is much larger than even Tupelo.
More information will be released when appropriate.”
As terrified locals watched the skies, an errant pilot threatened to crash a plane into a Walmart in Mississippi.
According to a news statement from the Tupelo Police Department, the alleged kamikaze pilot contacted police at 5 a.m. and informed them of his scary plans. The pilot is believed to be flying a likely stolen Beechcraft King jet, according to authorities.
Police have been in direct contact with the pilot and have assisted Walmart and other neighboring businesses in evacuating people.
The problem was still present and the plane was still flying over the town of about 38,000 inhabitants at 8 a.m.
It was becoming clearer how things stood.
The aircraft is reportedly a Tupelo Airport-registered Beechcraft Kin Air 90 turboprop.
It has two engines, nine seats, and is thought to be a private plane.
According to The Tupelo Daily Journal, the jet was once owned by a local urologist but is currently stolen.
Although the nature of the suspect’s complaint is unknown, the pilot reportedly works at the airport.
In a conversation with officials, the pilot expressed his intention to crash the aircraft in the very populated area near the Wal-Mart.
Currently we have a 29yr old who stole this plane & is threatening to crash it into something. Polices ,ambulances ,& fire trucks are everywhere. Everything is shutdown rn pic.twitter.com/AzebdIa3tP

The pilot was reportedly flying in circles as he spoke to authorities with his threats.
A map shows what appeared to be the plane’s course – an erratic, zigzag pattern that appears to be at random.
