After a startling find in a Minnesota lake, the sheriff has delivered horrifying news.
Friday morning, the Maplewood, Minnesota, police department launched an investigation into a probable suicide at a trailer in Maplewood. Inside, officers discovered the decomposing body of a guy.
Later that day, emergency services were notified of a possible murder-suicide near Vadnais Lake, which has since been connected to the previous tragedy.
The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office began searching the lake immediately, according to KSTP.
Shoes discovered on the shore of the lake appear to indicate that all three youngsters were in the water simultaneously.
In addition to police vehicles, airboats, helicopters, and ambulances were observed at the area.
The horrific tale that the cops are piecing together is certain to shatter the neighborhood.
“A horrible set of facts appears to be developing,” Fletcher said, according to Fox News.
“We do not know the certainty of all three children, but have recovered one child. There’s nothing more tragic than the loss of young children.”
After a two-day search, it appears that the rescue and recovery attempts have tragically failed.
After a concerted effort by first responders, Ramsey County Undersheriff Mike Martin revealed Saturday morning at the lake that the remains of all children and their mother were recovered from the water.

As it is still early in the investigation, Martin refused to comment on any details authorities have discovered.
The undersheriff did reveal how the mother and children were located in the first place.
“They had been looking for the mother with the children as a result of the incident that occurred [in Maplewood],” Martin said.
Thankfully, technology allowed authorities to recover and return the bodies to family as quickly as possible.
“They were concerned about her wellbeing and the wellbeing of the children,” Martin explained, “so they began tracking her cellphone which led them to here and her vehicle.”
